But i need also routines like coffee, because i am autistic too. So changes are a big thing. Your art of dish washing is correct. Never makes the dishes in the night after a meal. All the time in the morning is right. And clean the things you need always and you are short on that, the other things going into the dishwasher (glasses). The dish washer runs only about once a week, therefore add some vinegar acid into it to prevent mould. My father was also an alcoholic. I drink regulary, but two glass of wine would be be the limit ( wine is too strong meanwhile, so i do mostly a single 0,33 beer). If i attend the Oktoberfest, its 2 l beer and i am very sick the next morning and need triptane. Alcohol leads to the bed. Thats OK. But alcohol in daylight is horror. No gym, too boring. I run around an airport landing strip. On on side i see landing planes. The other side its nature. Above the sky and the sun. Good for me. Bad habit: binge YT shorts. What makes me crazy: when i have to wait. I leave the store heading for the next one if the cue is too long.

The best thing u can do is learn your strengths and weaknesses and maximize each. For example,y work productivity is very fluid so sometimes I work extremely early or extremely late sending emails and such. U need to learn what works for u . That is how I learned to survive for over 4 decades Also, I need to have everything figured out and planned out or I can’t have peace of mind and without that my adhd is out of control. Peace of mind is key ; atleast it is for me If u have adhd and u are high functioning it is likely u don’t do anything like other people. Don’t try, I spent decades, trying to do things when everybody else does them, and it was in disaster.

You’re right about the peace of mind! It’s just SO important!! And I generally agree with you, highly functioning people with ADHD are usually weird and in my opinion that makes them awesome 😊
