Great video! As. side note. Neo works well with Lightroom but using "EDIT IN" doesn't open the image as a Raw image on my MAC, however if one drags the image from the lightroom filmstrip or Grid View down to Photoshop on the dock it opens as Raw and then when I'm finished in Neo I go to the Neo File menu (upper left) and choose Open in Lightroom where I can import the new, edited image. I wish I had similar work around for editing in Adobe Camera Raw from Lightroom.

I just got back from my trip to New Zealand where I visited Glenorchy. I left home the day that the Fall Luminar Neo update came out and only just had time to install it. Now I'm back with 2,525 photos to go through. Lightroom has done all my cataloging up until now and this is the first time I've imported a large number of photos into Luminar. I'm interested in learning how to use the catalog feature effectively. It appears that the lack of the ability to assign keywords will be a major limitation, and unless I just haven't found it, some camera metadata (like GPS location) isn't displayed.

Fabulous. Did you enjoy your trip? LR is still the king of cataloguing, but Neo is making strides to close the gap. Rather than having to manually add keywords, Skylum have gone with an AI search and recognition feature. Still no GPS though.

@@AnthonyTurnham Great trip, although it was a tour group where it's not practical to take a tripod and not enough time to think every photo through carefully. I had mixed results with Luminar AI searches. I asked for sheep and got tons of pictures of sheep. I asked for graffiti and got lots of graffiti (and a few extras) but when I asked for people, I got almost nothing. Then I asked for "tourists" and got a goodly number of them.

I have taken a few different bracketed shots at different f stops and i remember in one of your video's you showed how to put them all in at once and luminar would sort them out individually, but i can't remember which video that was. Hi Tim. Hmm, I don't recall which particular video it was. But it's pretty straightforward. Just select the bracketed photos in the catalogue and drag them all into the HDR merge tool together. That's about it! 😀

I had to download profiles specific to my cameras separately as they typically are included with Adobe photo software so for anyone who doesn't have any adobe photo editors installed they may not have anything in the profiles other than the Luminar Neo default ones.

Fuji is a tough one. They treat their profiles differently to most manufacturers and save them as .cube files, which are visible as Luts rather than profiles. It's only a subtle difference in file format but a huge difference in how Neo handles them.
