I used to believe that everyone loses during a recession, but some make millions. Similarly, I thought everyone went out of business in the Great Depression, but some started new ventures. In short, tough times bring losses for some and profits for others, all rooted in the right mindset. Now, I've saved $220k for the future, even though I'm a complete beginner.

Absolutely, that's why I rely on a personal coach for my daily market decisions. They specialise in both short and long-term strategies, effectively mitigating risks as a hedge against inevitable downturns. With their exclusive information and analysis, it's incredibly challenging not to outperform the market. I've been with my coach for over three years, and my portfolio has grown from an initial $450k to an estimated $1.45 million today.

I am trying to avoid any new buys at this point in other not to get sucked into a bear market trap. It's tough making money in stocks when institutional investors are the driving force behind the selling.. although I read an article of people that grossed profits up to $150k during this crash, what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist?

Yes. It is very easy to buy trending stocks but the problem is knowing when to sell or hold, which is why a coach is important. I've been in touch with one for about a year now and although I was initially skeptical about it, I will say I've made more progress within a year generating 6figure profit

Keep this in the back of your mind. There are good days and bad days. It's a zero-sum game, but keep this advice in mind: spend wisely, invest wisely, and diversify your holdings so that when one performs poorly, the others do as well. This can be accomplished by hiring a knowledgeable specialist whose platform provides a wide range of investment options. By doing so, you leave little room for regrets and may even gain more.

With inflation running at a four-decade high, a Recession is now the ‘most likely outcome for the economy. How can I grow my portfolio to outpace inflation and maintain a successful long-term strategy? I have been reading of investors making about $250k profit in this current crashing market, and I need ideas on how to achieve similar profits.

Most peoples problem with a recession is the mindset, they accept it will be bad and this becomes their destiny and as a finance director most of my clients have only ever complained about the recession, rather than asking what they can do to benefit from it. If you can switch your mindset you can have amazing success in a recession. This has given me some inspiration for my video on how business should approach the recession. Thanks for the help 😊

Recession or no recession, volatility or no volatility, we cannot let the noise on the street nor the fear of the masses drive our decision making when it comes to investing. Otherwise, we will ultimately lose. Unfortunately, far too many think near-term when investing is a long-term sport. Right now is the PERFECT opportunity to be doubling down on high quality investments and practicing patience. There is a reason why the rich get richer during market mayhem as they capitalize on the average Joe selling out of fear... !

Real estate investing changed my life... I own a health food store for my "day job" but when I started buying rental properties about 7 years ago is when my net worth really started to climb. I recommend diversifying your investments by considering stocks alongside real estate. During a recession, there are potential buying opportunities in the stock market if approached cautiously. Additionally, market volatility can offer short-term buying and selling opportunities. However, please note that this is not financial advice. It's important to be proactive in investing as cash may not be the most advantageous option during these times.

I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. Work a crappy job and make investments. I think it’s what he saying all you need is to invest a very small percentage of money and invest in the dollar and not run away from it because when everyone else is running away is when you want to buy in, because people unless the world ends, will inevitably have a resurgence. Life goes on so to speak until it doesn’t. 🤓

That’s why he recommended investing in stocks and crypto first, longer the dip the better longer to dollar cost average in Some down as much as 80 to 98 percent When the fed reverses QE rates, near the mid terms or before Q1 2023 definitely before the 24 election Expect the ones with great teams and partnerships that weathered the storm to 10 20 even 100x even 1000x with some small market cap cryptos With the growth of these assets, sell when the market is over bullish, scalp 10/20 percent on highs on a platform like nexo you can borrow against your gains, which is excepted not as wages, but stocks are as capital gains, but crypto can be used for a Mortgage deposit Or for safety put into Usdc a stablecoin, pegged to the dollar, which you can attain a passive income of 10 percent more than buy to let’s with less fuss The SEC, will try to prevent this in a couple of years with regulation and own Government backed Stablecoins, that will track citizens

As a rookie you need to be skeptical about the market, don't let fear drive your investment decisions. When there's a crash there's relative fear among investors, these are the time to go against the streams and choose investments whose potentials are overlooked. It's not always easy to do what is not popular but that's where your money is.

Just keep on plugging away slowly man, and have a little left aside when the indexes inevitably dip over the next two years - with the weakening dollar and massive debt, it may also be worth looking into international markets. Im liking the look of Tencent at the moment. I personally think once corona is over which could happen in 2022, the indexes and bitcoin will go up as people will spend a bunch of money and continue the drive the economy up. People are still buying stuff like crazy and we are still technically in a pandemic. Wait until the pressure is off and people start spending more

Being of age and how to manage the sequence of returns in those early periods is what seems quite scary in the current market. The market is never a loser in a twenty year cycle, but the 2000s decade scenario scares me and could really disrupt my retirement. When you are no longer accumulating but withdrawing its hard to be anything but cautious.

Have you considered Series of bonds as part of your portfolio. You will always get your principal back and get a inflation-protected return. Only drawback is that you can only buy $10,000 per annum. But it can diversify your portfolio.

The often cited improvement in productivity is more simply explained as a mirage, because the remaining employees have to do the tasks of laid off workers. They will of course have to sacrifice other tasks not immediately needed to satisfy sales. Anyhow my countertheory. Of course thats not cutting fake complexity and employee welfare like at X formerly known as Twitter, but that sort of insightful reorg is not going to be precipitated by recessions. All they'll do is get new lowered sales estimates and cut headcount across the board Edit: I get it now. It didn't occur to me that you literally cannot get rid of low performers unless it's egregious, by firing them, because the justification barrier is just too high. So the only opportunity for that is during layoffs, when the question is much simpler, not should they go but who do we need least.

Informative and a very good reminder Mark! Question for maybe other US viewers. I still have approximately $80k in student loans. I've been aggressive with my 401k contributions at 20% and have a 6 month emergency fund along with some decent investments. For those in this situation, is it more advisable to pay down the student loans while interest rates and payments are on pause, or to take the money used for loan repayment or to invest into the market?

I have 25 tousand in student loans personally since it is zeroed out I haven't been paying any of it currently. My rates I think are fixed at 4 percent so if inflation is higher than that I would think it eats away at the debt since high inflation helps debters and screws creditors. I am cutting expenses and putting cash away waiting for the markets to go even lower. I am not a expert or anything but that is how I am currently looking at it and roughly what I am doing. Also using my good credit score and leveraging zero percent credit lines to allow myself to have extra cash on hand to sure up my base incase of emergency and to have more cash to put in my investment accounts. Also bought up extra food and a eletric scooter to help save money since prices are likely to increase. Don't know if this will give you a idea or two but hey atleast I tried

Take advantage of pause and continue to add to 401k , especially right now when market is tanking. Your future self will thank you . In time , markets always go back up , and when they do , your 401k will increase exponentially

Hello sir, I was wondering if you can explain when you know when to buy in the stock market during a recession. Is there a certain way to tell when a stock will reach its absolute lowest, or should I just buy now in the hopes that after the recession the value of the stocks will be more than it is now?
