I think the main reason people aren't buying them yet is the lack of info on the shoe compatibility, so please do a video shown the clearance etc!!!

Why doesn't it give cadence data while your doing the 80rpm? I thought it was supposed to also display cadence?

+12988Jake I just didn't have cadence set on the garmin screen, it does still transmit cadence data during the calibration.

So do the shoes touch the pod when clipped in?

+12988Jake without overshoes, mine don't, but some people have had theirs rub on the pod. The internals of the pod are so deep inside that you'd never compromise the integrity of it with a bit of wear from the shoe if it touches.

+Cal Belfield could you take a picture or do a video of the shoe on the pedal and the clearance please? I really need to see it to know if my shoes will fit.... Even just for a rough guide really

+12988Jake I've tried to show it as best as I can in this photo, there's about a mm of clearance. unless the pod comes into such contact with the shoe that it prevents clipping in or free movement then it isn't an issue, I think most people won't have any trouble but a few types of shoes might suffer, but I've not heard any stories of people saying it comes into full contact badly. imgur.com/dIfUSXl

+Belfy ok thanks mate, was concerned if it did touch that it would be uncomfortable and you'd feel it in the sole of the shoe... The other thing was whether it would effect the reading if the shoe is pushing with force on the pod... I'm not sure weather to go for them or not!!! Grrrr!!!

+12988Jake where abouts do you live? depending on which retailer you buy from, I'm sure they'll have a returns policy. cyclepowermeters is probably a good place to start if you're in the UK. I would say go for it, the chances of there being a problem are so small, and for the money they really are excellent value.
