Nicely done. I like the way that every loop adds one more warp thread on each side so you always fetch the weft by starting UNDER that new warp thread because that will go OVER the previous warp thread. Also it is worth pointing out that as you are inserting weft from the top and the bottom with the exact same shed when they meet in the middle they will always form in pairs until you draw the last SINGLE thread that will split the paired shed with the final opposite shed. I have never had occasion to use such a loom or try diagonal weaving but most informative video.

Thank you, Kalle, for your comment! You're definitely catching on to some fundamental principles of continuous strand weaving in the round, which makes you deserve a "Nicely done" as well!

Great video! I finally tried it, of course I struggled with tension - even after your warning 😊. The next one will be easier. So pretty with variegated yarn too. Thank you!

Estoy tratando de hacer uno de estos telares, como no se la separación de los clavos, voy a hacerlo de la mitad de un centímetro de entre clavo y clavo y un centímetro donde no ahí clavo y a ver cómo me queda.

I can't find a white zoom loom like yours, can you tell me where you got yours . X

Hello, I just bought this pin loom and found your video, I really enjoy it. I've been looking for a hook and yours is perfect. However I look for the afghan hook and it's not like the one you are using. It's just a hook. Have I made a mistake? Could you help me please? Thank you .
@BluebonnetCraftersLLC Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if I understand your message correctly ... You can use any crochet hook, and the afghan hooks are long enough to weave all across. In the video I'm using a "locker hook" which is a weaving tool that looks like a crochet hook at one end and it has an eye of a needle at the other end. The hook end is a little bit extended, which holds the yarn more easily. Hope this helps!

Thank you. I did misunderstand. With the correct name , I will find the tool. Bye

Does anyone know where ii could get hold of one of these? Please.

Hello Elaine, if you google "schacht zoom loom" or look for it on Etsy, you will find several online sources where you can order a Zoom loom, or you can ask your local yarn store if they carry them.

@@BluebonnetCraftersLLC thanks, I got one, I'm going to try your method thanks for explaining the techniques so well. I was wondering if they come in bigger sizes? Thanks again, wish me luck. 🤞. Take care. X

@@Elaine-yk5uh Do a search on Etsy for "Pin Looms" and you will find several small businesses that offer larger square pin looms. Not everyone is selling on Etsy, though. If you got bitten by the pin loom weaving bug, and if you are on Facebook, there is a great group "Pin Loom Weaving Support Group" where you can find tons of good information and support ... facebook.com/groups/pinloomweaving/

Could you make a rectangle?
@BluebonnetCraftersLLC Жыл бұрын
You "can" weave rectangles on the Zoom loom, but it's a little bit fiddly. If you are a subscriber to the Little Looms magazine, look for Jennifer Chapman's Child's Basket Weave Capelet which shows some pictures how to do it (littlelooms.com/library/64095856/).
