I love when you recap your points written on the screen and when you verbally summarize your points. I like to screenshot them and then put them in my notes lol you have taught me so much and I pray God keeps using you to teach women or more specifically moms like me who need direction on how to pursue a right understanding of God and how to live it out. Such valuable information and I also love your crafty bible journaling videos too lol

My favorite bible is the "LIFE RECOVERY BIBLE" The Living Bible translation" Even though I am not a recovering addict, I find that the 12 step format is very helpful in helping me straighten me out. lol. Then I have a Thompson chain reference bible, KJV, It is a study bible., then My friend gave me a Holy Scriptures, Tree of Life Version, it has a Hebrew Word and definition list in the back, Very helpful. Then my handy dandy very huge and heavy "Strongs exhausted Concordance Hebrew and Greek and a whole lot of other stuff in it. I have had that for over 30 years I think. My go to for a lot of things. But I do recommend the Life Recovery Bible, VERY HELPFUL FOR A LOT A LIFES ISSUES. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL, THANKS PASTOR FOR YOUR INSIGHTS. and Thanks for sharing.OOOOH by the way, have you read the Book of Enoch and if so, What are your thoughts.

I know this is an old video but I just saw it for the first time. Thank you for taking the time to share this information. Please know that you are making a huge impact in christians lives. That is probably why you are getting some nasty comments. Please keep doing what you are doing. I've been saved since I was 16 years old and yet no one ever showed me how to study the Bible. Since 2018 I've been on a journey now that I have internet it's a whole new world for me. So much to learn! I didn't even know that the Bible wasn't even in chronological order lol. I think back to my mom's generation when many couldn't read and had to rely on the pastor's teaching as truth. He went off what he was taught. Let's just say a lot of it didn't line up with the Bible. There's a lot of people in the same boat today. Yes they can read but they are taught not to question those over them. Very sad. I hope that this encourages you. You never know who may be watching and the impact on their salvation. Keep up the good work and know that I am praying for you and your family. God Bless.

Thank you for all these tips! I really like "The best translation of the Bible is the one you will pick up and read." Eye opening because I was brought up Not Intended Version, Not King James Version...it had to be King James Version.

Is it wrong that the 2011 NIV made some scripture gender neutral? I needed to buy a new Bible and I got NIV cause that is what I am used to. I bought the new one not knowing of the changes. While I started getting used to it, at the same time I feel guilty and it is hard, for me to find an original NIV Bible. Should I switch or just stick with it? Thank you for the video. Even if I don't commenton your videos I enjoy watching them and they are very helpful. 💖

There are masculine and feminine cases in the original language. So there are times when the text is referring to specifically male or specifically female. However, in many instances in the Bible the passage will say, “Brothers,” or “men,” and this is when you can include male and female because the passage applies not only to males but females as well. So just look at the context of the passage to see if it applies to both males and females. Ephesians 4:8 is a good example of this. It is masculine for men, but it applies to all mankind because women obviously have spiritual gifts too. It’s really up to you whether you want to switch or stick with it. I will say, no matter what, you should not feel guilty about reading a 2011 NIV Bible. You should never feel guilty reading the Bible unless God is revealing sin in your life. And I don’t think reading an NIV Bible is a sin 😂. Press on Sister! I hope this is helpful. Ask or comment away with any more thoughts or questions. Again, the best Bible translation is the one you’ll pick up and read. Blessings

Using different translation can also get you into trouble bc they don’t always have the same meaning as a word for word translation…& I know you use the NLT but that is just a paraphrase & is not dependable ..when do we know when God words are tampered with ?? If your in-depth with studying the Bible than why not get as close as you can with a translation that is of God..in paraphrase bible you are getting someone else’s opinion of what God is saying…I think people for get that the Bible is not hard (word for word) if your praying over each study & letting the Holy Spirit guide you..He will..people don’t give that Spirit God gave you a chance to help you along to understand His Words..Rev.22: 18-19 is a very important warning to remember how far we go with translations..& yes I do agree KNOW your authors…I listen to John MacArthur- Charles Stanley- David Jeremiah- Alister Begs- they study with NKJV NASB ESV …thinking out loud -
