For the critics; this man did many things right. I'm thinking a good potentiometer will control the speed. A DC motor is a good choice here; no need for a inverter generator or pure sine wave inverter. An old motor off a treadmill might be a good selection.

Well done my sir. Don't call it cheap. I like to think of it as economical or resourceful. Better spend the money on more important things especially when you are creative enough to build your own. Keep up the good work

How do you mount the wheen on the dc motor shaft? I been looking at other videos as well but they dont show how the tires are mounted on to the shaft and secured. Thanks!

Great Idea! Would you be able to add some kind of switch, or throttle to control the speed of the motor?

Brilliant idea using the radiator fan! I was thinking about buying a motor. Plus you know that fan will work with 12 volt car battery.

I made one for my son back in 1988. It worked so well he played for the O's (see thumbnail) and we have sold over 50,000 units since.

Nice machine man, Im thinking of making one like it. Do you know what motor that is so I can find one that is the same, or what car it came from? Also how fast do you think it pitches the balls?

Many thanks for the video , please let us know what is the power of the motor, the gap between the tyre and the channel so that the ball can pass, how much time can the motor run in the car battery, what is the diameter of the tyre

How much did it all cost you to make? I need one, do you sell customized ones?

Electric motors are everywhere, and tires too. With a drill, some bolts, the motor and tire, this could be made for under $50 depending on what parts you can salvage. The tricky part is wiring up the motor. A brushed DC motor is simple to wire, but some AC motors need speed controllers and the like. I'd imagine that any 1/4 HP motor would work if the original wiring is used. The cheapest option is a patient friend to pitch 😀

you could have shown the machine throwing more baseballs. I'm not sure, based on the video, the machine works well enough to use.

Luisomar M Brother me inspiraste!
