Hi Albert! Thanks for a great video on a subject that has been keeping me awake at night. I just picked up a new Jumper T-Lite V2 and was amazed at the lack of info on binding a Quad to this controller. Bind and Fly is the way for me to go but the unknown is vast. I took your advice and got the 4-1 controller and got the same ELRS module as you use also. I hope when buying a quad other than ELRS there would be some kind of documantion. This controller works great with FPV Freeride in the intrim.

Hey Albert! Great Video. I've heard some people have had a terrible time using/binding/flashing Express LRS receiver's and Transmitters. I have also heard that its competitor crossfire is drop dead easy, but that convenience comes with a hefty price tag. I do believe ELRS is a good system. I plan on using it in my next quad. I think for many individuals the learning curve or how the entire system operates can be challenging. I had trouble flashing the firmware on my PINE64 soldering iron. (following the steps to a "T") Thanks for the video, It is really helpful. It provides viewers with a hands on demonstration of how to bind your quad to your radio. Very very helpful. The community does appreciate the time and effort you put into the videos. I want to end by saying, thank-you for continuing to hold the "Community Giveaways." It helps the FPV community grow and allows people share their advice and knowledge.

ELRS is, in my opinion the easiest binding procedure since Spectrum auto bind. Binding phrase is so convenient. I actually used ELRS to troubleshoot that my Tango 2 radio was giving me problems. Yet another reason to stop using Crossfire...:)

Crossfire is still easier to bind, update and work with all round, I have the tx16s with inbuilt elrs that I was planning on switching from crossfire to elrs but was just to much stuffing around with incompatible firmware and error’s trying to update it, I just put the crossfire module in the radio and never had a single issue sines and couldn’t be easier.

Useful video. I've got ELRS on virtually everything now, still V2 for some practical logistic reasons. I do have a question: Generally I've done the binding with a bind phrase at flashing time in both Tx and Rx but have just got an FC with onboard UART connected ELRS and that has no bind phrase. So, I used the 3x power on approach as in this video, and it worked fine. However, somehow it became unbound again, not at all clear how. I could repeat the process and rebind it, but it didn't stick. So I could rebind again. And again. Etc. Don't know what is going on, suspect the FC is faulty. But, my question is really this: If you bind with the 3x on off approach, is it supposed to be a one time thing? I got the impression from the ELRS site that it was, and once you had bound this way, the binding was then fixed until the Rx was reflashed. Ie you could bind it once and that was it. However my (possibly broken) FC seems to indicate otherwise, that even when bound using the 3x on off approach, you can do it all again and change the binding, maybe to a different Tx. What is the truth of it?

Tried last weekend this method with an irc ghost rx - didn't work, so I ended up flashing the tx in the field back and forth and trying some packet rate settings until the connection was established.

Hey Albert not sure what other way to get in contact with you so hopefully you see this. I'm a new subscriber for around a month now as I've just got into fpv for the first time. I've bought myself a jumper t lite v2 elrs and a mobula7 1s elrs. What's my very first steps to connect everything up and get flying? Can you provide some info for me or direct me to some links on all of this. Sorry totally noob to all this but can't wait to love this hobby. As for the flight simulator is there anything specific I need to do to my jumper t lite v2 before use on simulator? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

I have a flywoo ep2 on my darwin baby ape been flying fine probably 20 packs of flying. Now out of the blue lost connection when I arm it starts flashing blue? What would cause that?

Maybe you have a bad SD card or you need to update OpenTX firmware to a newer version.

I believe the learning curve is dependent on how familiar you are with your Hardware. Maybe what could help along with the video is a visual flowchart of some kind. Either way good refresher video on how to bind ELRS.

Nice tutorial! I still prefer bind phrase - easy to use and you can repeat the same phrase for all of your gear.

The standard method also works with bind phrase in cases where you don't want to or are unable to flash the firmware to the receiver (assuming it has the same major version firmware on it that matches the transmitter)
