How To Black Pack Your MINI | 2019 Mini Cooper S Sport | Remove Front Bumper

This week i am changing the front and rear light surrounds and the front bumper grille from chrome to black on my 2019 Mini Cooper S Sport!
In this video, I show you how to do it and how truly easy it is!

Thank you for the detailed instructions in this video. Today I swapped the chrome grille surround for a black one. The project went smoothly except unplugging and reattaching the fog lights. MINI left no slack in the wiring marking it very difficult to reattach the plug in at the light. Many thanks 👍

Wow that's a lot of work for that one piece of trim! Has anyone found an easier way? I don't think I have the patience to remove the entire bumper lol

Thank you for this video. I followed your instructions and have broke the first clip as I pry the plastic fender. I am now worried that I’ll break more clips so have now stopped until I order the clips. Looking in eBay for the clips.

Hi guys. I have a 2016 Cooper S. The front grille had been mysteriously damaged so I made the bold move to replace it with a GP Grille off Ebay. Now these grilles aren't designed for my car but I knew it was possible to fit, even on my own driveway. I used this video as a nice guide on how to remove the bumper just with a T30 torx and 8mm spanner. Unclipped the OEM Grille and clipped in the new GP grille, and Stuck the bumper back on the car. Meanwhile I had carefully removed the OEM Chrome grille surround and sprayed it black (quality Primer and Gloss black from the range) and clipped this on to the reinstalled bumper. And Viola! It looks quality, easy, took 1 day, and cost 160 quid. Bosh.

VERY helpful! The front bumper trim has cracked on mine and I don't fancy paying £150 labour charges to have it replaced. Think I'll give it a go myself.

im thinking blackout the trim of the bumper but i dont want to unmount all. i might go with cutting it slowly and csrefully just breaking it part by part? what do you think?

Great video! On the black front grill trim... Couldn't you just pry it off without removing the bumper? If the clips break, it shouldn't matter as you're fitting a new one... Or do you risk bumper damage?

We have tried but there are so many clips it is faster to just remove the bumper.

You can unclip this part when the Bumper is off. I believe you can buy them black from maybe SCP Automotive or SMPS2012. But I would Spray them black and clip them straight back on!

Ok so I've just done this and it was much harder than the video makes out 🤣 but I managed to do it. Word of warning: the front fog light connector doesn't just "pop off" as mentioned in the video. There is a clip that allows you to disconnect it and it's very difficult to find. I've managed to snap one of the housings off trying to remove it. 🙄

Very interesting. However killallchrome is soo much easier you just stick them on top and can't tell the difference at all. Quality just as good.

We have painted them, plastic dipped them, tried wrapping them. The easiest way is to just get the parts… I am trying to get a big discount from BMW so I can offer the full black pack on here. So far it it going well but they want to see that we have more subscribers and more views. Touch wood we will be able to offer the full kit for under £500. Watch this space!
