Too coincidental, John. I was just thinking about spending some money to have the body shop clean up or replace my own faded and spotted bumper trim piece. When I checked Mini Mania and saw this bumper cover is only $98 I went to You Tube and fortunately found your video. I have a 2015 F55 so the front end is identical to your F56 S. I just finished replacing rear brake pads and rotors so this is a R&R job I can certainly do myself. You saved me a lot of $$$ in labor costs. Thank you very much for taking the time to make and post this video.

Very helpful and were the same for our 2019 Mini. I agree that it is easier to break the tabs holding the clip, as they are very rigid. BUT, be careful not to break the ones holding the grill unless you are replacing it as well, as it also needs to be removed in order to replace the clip. I suggest getting a helper. I could not have done it alone.

Hiya, I'm looking into buying a 2016 mini hatch sd. The front bumper seems to be mounted to one side as if they have had it off and not fitted it back again correctly. Is this something that they could have accidently done? Or is the bumper just warped? Im paranoid its been in a crash and they are just trying to cover it up is all. Thank you, great video.

If you really want to know if your car has been in a crash, you could try to see how the mounting hardware, like brackets and mounting bolts, etc look like. That's a bummer, they are such fun cars. I've had many enjoyable miles with my car. I'd say that these Gen 3 cars are built the best of all the various generations. Best of luck. Keep in touch if I can offer any advice. Later.

Hi Brian, I am going to have to say 'no' as there are a bunch of clips on the inner side of the whole silly thing that are not accessible without removing the whole clip. Sorry...thank BMW/MINI for the way they designed it. I was a bit scared at first, but I took my time and was careful not break anything. Are you here in the states? I can suggest you take it all apart and if you need anything you can get it from MINI-MANIA. Keep in touch, let me know how it goes? Are you on Facebook at all? I have a page there. Good luck.

Great video. I see your black bumper element is / was discoloured with a white bloom. This is a warranty item with BMW replacing them free of charge.

Well, now you tell me...(just joking there). It's ok as I replaced the silver surround piece too. And I learned how to remove and reinstall that whole front clip. it was a fun project and all back together. Have you driven or do you have a MINI??? Sorry I just sold this MINI and replaced it with a 2023 Corvette C8 Z51...the MINI was one of the best cars I've ever had, but the missus said I couldn't have six cars...boo-hoo. Enjoy your MINI, they are great cars.

Yeah, that is definitely your choice, but I hate to break things that I could use again. I hope this video helps you in your tasks ahead. I loved my MINI but I sold it when I got a 2023 Corvette C8. That was quite an upgrade...enjoy, my friend.
