I’m getting ready to start my first paint by numbers, I want my sky to look realistic, I don’t want the colors to look like lines of different colors. If that makes sense?? I just got done watching a few videos for tips and tricks for blending colors, they were way more difficult, and still had a very visible line in between the colors, they didn’t blend very well. I like your so simple approach and technique! And it looks realistic!! Great job. Please share more of your ideas and tricks on painting 😀

Hi - Isn't it actually the case that some acrylics can be transparent but it depends on the pigments in the paint - basically quality. Also, I don't believe that acrylic dries really fast, maybe as compared to oil paint. But if you really need more time you can mist the canvas with water, or even add a retarder to give you more working time.

But why don’t you wipe of the previous colour from the dry brush, as you blend . If you used blue paint then went to use whit, you’re gonna get light blue.

What do you do with the very small parts like the chair, flowers, plants floorboards? Are they blended too?
