How to Blend Oil Pastels with a Blending Stump

Welcome to a little process video of how i blend oil pastels with a blending stump. These stumps are also called paper stumps, Tortillon or Estompe. Their main purpose is in drawing, when you want to blend graphite from a pencil to create shadows. They are however, also great for blending oil pastels!

Very few oil pastel sources are available on KZbin, so Your contribution is highly appreciated. That horse portrait looks decent. Using paper stomps for oil pastel is not new to me, but it was very useful watching how you used it consistently as a primary tool in your oil pastel artmaking process.
