Another tip that I discovered: Also brushing the blank paper softly with oil makes them good. Especially not so high quality pastels.

PLEASE squirt a bit of baby oil into a small dish, & dip Q tip in the dish. Please do NOT touch QTip on the bottle ( avoid color Cross contamination from your Qtip to your whole bottle) … you will be glad you did!
