going by my mistakes, I guess, Andy did parts quite well and got away with some mistakes, because the paper is rather small sized. the larger the frame, the more fluent or quicker one needs to work on the painting - I find

Yes, fantastic tip. If you're like me you've accumulated a hundred brushes of all types so why on earth have we been so stingy with our use of them? They were meant to be used, not just displayed. Large displays of brushes are meant to fool visitors, but really we are only fooling ourselves. I will definitely start using individual brushes for ea color where blending by brush strokes isn't a desired effect such as whenever blending colors using water and gravity only, and also for any special mix of colors in the upper layers in order to achieve variations and gradations in hair color or the color of bark on trees and branches in dark places or for lighter shades and accents. We still would want to isolate those details that may separate our work from the mainstream.

Are you completely rinsing your brush each time you switch between the pink and blue?

From blue to pink I would insist more. Depending on the colors I don't overthink it and if there is a very dark color like indigo or black, brown, i'll use 2 paintbrushes for less constant rinsing.
