In this Photoshop tutorial, I'll show you my workflow to creatively blend two images in Photoshop and as a great image blending example: create that "water in pavement" effect that is a really cool way to blend two images creatively and make dramatic composites that are pretty popular on Instagram.
In this image blending tutorial, I'll teach you some basics of photo manipulation and compositing! For a 15-minute tutorial, it's pretty jam-packed of techniques and tricks used by seasoned professionals.
If you’re diving into the world of Photoshop Compositing or editing, check out my Photoshop Secrets toolkit. Right now, I'm giving it away for free for new subscribers. It’s awesome watching an expert show off their work. I’m trying to get to this level of proficiency. Would love to see a video where you explain things a little slower for beginners. Thanks for posting!

Thank you so much for freely passing on your excellent skills and experience! Your tutorials have helped fill many educational gaps for me that my college instructors just don't seem to have the time for these days, as they are constantly running from one class to another. Very soon, when I am not a broke college student, I will finally order some of your awesome PS packs! Cheers, Cat-

I learned a few things here. Thanks. I disagree with some criticism by others, such as learning from this is challenging. I thought of a few other things many of these techniques could be used for. Also, it would begin getting hard to retain it all if you frequently explained why you did it one way VS. another . There is often > 1 way to do various steps. Just learn what you can and spend more time thinking on your own.

Thank you Rikard for such quality content ..could you please make a video on how to blend two images. For example I am working on a image(with considerable depth) where there is road in a forest lined by trees on one side which is also the direction of sunlight( not too bright) Also the road is brightened in patches due spacing of trees.. and i am trying to insert a couple's pic onto it(Taken in broad daylight and bright light) So no matter what adjustments i do it looks like cut and paste job .. Also the couple's image has no shadows but the forest image will need and shadow(Slanting rays from one side) so is there any effect where i can produce shadow of an image Also in your opinion, is blending an image onto a darker image is simpler than blending onto an lighter image

@@nuclylearn yeah I sure get it that Photoshop isn't the right software for that. But I have tried it because they taught us in our college (which obviously isn't good enough). It basically would be how to use the brush tool perfectly(the strokes, blending options.etc.).

@@nuclylearn I actually didn't get it why you duplicated the girl three times naming the layer "water screen". I'm getting the same result by using just the first two layers you created but I'm pretty sure you did it for a reason 😅
@nuclylearn
@nuclylearn 4 жыл бұрын
@@alessandroorsini6091 Ah okay! The first layer is the "woman" (with the water masked out). Then there is the "water screen" (the layer set to the "screen" blending mode) and then there is the "water overlay" (the layer set to the "overlay" blending mode). You could skip the overlay and get something similar... BUT having the "overlay" will help sell the effect. Hope that helps!

@nuclylearn

1 to 2 years. But even after doing this for 15+ years, I'm still learning new things. And things that I learned and perfected with years of practice have become obsolete, replaced with AI that it does both faster and better. But in 1 to 2 years, you can become proficient enough in Photoshop that the hardest part of every project will be the idea-rather than how to execute it. And keeping up with new tools will be relatively easy.
