First class video with good tips.One small error which I know is awkward to avoid,is getting the pearling slightly bleached.Try painting the skull with peroxide(instead of soaking) and then rinse well.It works a treat and you wont have to stain up the spoiled pearling.Keep up the good work in the meantime,regards donnie

The time vary can be anything between 25 minutes to 1:15. You know when the head is ready when the skin on the skull "cracks" and falls off the bone. I never check time when boiling just look for these signs.
@guybaxendale12 жыл бұрын
Thanks Greg nice video. I tend to sprinkle a bit of caustic soda on the skull 3/4 of the way through the boiling process which speeds things along a bit. I also tend to scrub with lots of fairy liquid post boiling which de-greases the skull quicker.
@RoestalkerCoUk12 жыл бұрын
Never tried adding caustic soda, but also use some washing up liquid after cleaning before bleaching.

jak dużo perhydrolu dodajesz w stosunku do wody ?
@kjetilvaarlund83423 жыл бұрын
I cover the skull in cotton pads and gently pour Hydrogenperoxide on the cotton. If you have more than one skull they can be reused with a little topping of HP on them on the next skull

great video! i had been wondering about how the brain was removed and how hard it may be to remove cooked matter (as i know how complex the interior bone structure of the skull is,especially the sinuses are) it looks a lot easier then i thought it would be. thank you for doing such detailed videos, i looked through your channel briefly and it looks really interesting!

Kolego, polecam Karcher, idealnie wypłucze mózg i resztki w jamach czaszki.

A fantastic video. I also like to mount or clean up my heads. I'm not into trophy hunting, but each head tells a different story of a great hunting trip. A brilliant demo, well done!

Wrap antlers before bleaching! And it's much quicker to jet wash the skull.
@RoestalkerCoUk12 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip Donnie, I usually do that and save peroxide that way, but this time it was just me being lazy. If I soak the whole head I usually position the head in such way only the skull is soaked up to the coronets and coronets and pearling are not bleached, I guess it moved at some point. Regards, Greg.

@RoestalkerCoUk4 жыл бұрын
Zwykle wystarczy posmarować, poczekać aż wyschnie i powtórzyć.
