Never been to JFK, and I despise LGA, so I guess I like Newark (where admittedly I haven't been to that often) by default. What kind of data were you using on your trip? An esim or something like GoogleFi? We had a pretty bad experience with customs in Paris. Because we had kids, we got moved from those automated gates to manned stations... and they were operating at a, shall we say, very casual pace. If we had checked luggage (did all carryon for a 2 week trip), it would most definitely have gotten to the claim area before us. Excited to see Paris and the rest of the circumnavigation!

So we actually used our AT&T plan - it was $10/day for call/text/data and it caps out after 10 days. We've used Holafly esim before but it restricts to data only. As for customs, we landed 1hour early due to tailwind and at 5:30am we were the only flight coming into custms so it was pretty quick. Kudos for backpacking a 2 week trip! You're a rockstar! @@AaronandTodd I wouldn't normally recommend it for an international trip. But because we were taking trains in France it was more convenient for us. But we definitely had to be strategic with our clothing and souvenirs (hope you guys picked up a lot on your honeymoon btw). Having a price cap on your phone plan must be nice. We get hosed on mobile costs in Canada (thanks, Bell, Rogers and Telus).
