My manual has it.. but it illustrate the bracket backward (wings up, with the bracket trying to go diwn instead of up)

Those instructions that came with the dishwasher are bogus. This video is correct. Why Bosch show the bracket bending down is a mystery 🤔

My bosch manual shows down bends, and so I tried both, one bracket tabs being up and the other bracket down. The tabs down one seems to wiggle less. It was a bit harder to find room for my pliers to bend down though.

Fold up the tabs... that was what I needed to know. Boy do I feel stupid!

Yes. The manual and the video clip for the Bosch shows these flipped over. But that makes no sense. All the KZbin videos I saw install exactly like you do. How can Bosch get this wrong for so long?

As someone who has knocked my dishwasher off the brackets *twice* accidentally by walking into it, this will be very, very helpful. (sad cries). (I would instantly forget I had it down and that it was right in front of me, and would whack my shin into it.. need to move that silverware drawer)

Interesting that this part, 00619985, does not match the picture in the installation manual for dishwasher SHE53TF5UC even though the parts diagram on this site and other sites calls it out. You also installed it in the narrow slot that has an X over it in the manual and not the wide slot next to it. That said, the mount I ordered from another site that looks like the one in the book does not work in a side mount so maybe the one you're using will work for me.

00619985 is the mounting bracket the manufacturer recommends for the model number you provided.

The original mount brackets snapped on the score line. GRRR! I gotta train the household to pull out ONE rack at a time.

Mine too but seems intuitive to me that the tab you mount to the countertop should be _roughly_ flush with the countertop. Probably doesn't matter much.
