How to braid with needle and thread

Been doing my daughter's hair like this for a couple of years now after watching African threading videos. You can any acrylic thread or Brazilian wool (which is just acrylic/synthetic material). Those threads don't absorb moisture from your hair. When I take her hair down the oils and moisture are encompassed within.
