Great job! Just finishes it off nicely. I did the wheel on my sailboat in a half hitch, now I need todo the turks head knot for the center, looks a little more complicated. Thanks for the share.

Ha Ha! Honestly you can. The Turks head knots suck and I mean suck. You can do it but you have to have a fid. Thanks for the laugh!

What brand is your steering knob? Great job on the wheel!

Thank! Unfortunately that knob was purchased by a friend around 1998. I have not seen one since. It has lasted far longer than Edison knobs on friends boats who chartered. I also moved this wheel from boat to boat and chartered with it. I would say it has over a thousand hours on it and no play. There are no marks names or numbers on it. I'm sorry!
