I failed my first driving test because I didn't come to a complete stop at the stop sign; I rolled through it instead. I realized that I was imitating the way my family members drive, and they all have their licenses. One important lesson I've learned is not to drive like those close to me unless they are following the rules correctly. I've been driving for a month, and I didn’t fully understand how serious the requirement to stop at a stop sign is. I’m retaking the test on Saturday, so please pray for me. I really hope to pass!

Well, I had my test on winter and the guide line to stop wasn't visible. I decided to full stop just before the STOP-sign, just like for red lights. However, I wasn't able to fully see to the right and left because of the environment... They told me I should've stopped after the sign where I could see properly. They failed me. Last time on the same STOP-sign I tried to stop when I could see properly. However, my teacher told me to stop before the sign. Hehe, I love the driving education system

The car may jerk which can be very dangerous and unpleasant

Aside from it being a jerky stop to brake at a limit line, you also need to remember what you are stopping in front of. A crosswalk where someone might bike across the street or jog across and children can be unpredictable, especially at school zones where they are goofing off. You wanna ease into your stop so if you need to brake suddenly before the limit line cuz pedestrian interference you can cuz you are already going slow. You never wanna go from 25mph to 0mph or even 15mph to 0mph. You wanna go from 25mpg and slow down until you can calmly stop. Especially behind vehicles cuz they might stop short in front of you.
