@@yzrohk752 I just kept trying and eventually the timing was right and it worked. Mine kept facing down and it didn't work. Eventually it just was facing up and worked. Just keep at it. I had to click my mouse pretty fast to get it to work.

As of 1.15.2, this still works. It is very inconsistent, so I would recommend at least bringing another 10 obsidian and flint and steel to make another nether portal in case you get stuck up there. It took me about half a stack of tnt before it worked and i happened to use an auto clicker as well. I put my auto clicker on 1 millisecond but there might be another clicker that is faster.

I had a really good world with enchanted netherite armor and tools, lots of good villager trades and farms, and i'd beaten the Ender dragon all in bedrock edition. In that world i went to do this tutorial. When i got on the roof i realized i couldn't place any blocks, and couldn't kill my self. I didn't want to cheat and go in creative. So I left my character and all of my stuff on the nether roof and never played that world again.
