Worked like a charm! 1.18.1 Java edition, multiplayer server. Made the hole on the second attempt. I changed the key binding, so instead of spamming clicking, I just held down a button when placed the second piston. Thank you for the great tutorial!

Worked for me in Java 1.18.2 Vanilla Sometimes this type of thing is direction-dependent. I was facing East, the block I was working on was x=0, y=128, z=1 in the nether Took about 6 tries with a macro.

Works in 1.19, it wasn't patched. A suggestion is to setup an auto-clicker. Set it to 1 Right Click once every millisecond to increase your chances of getting the timing right! (but of course activate it only during the "place the piston" part lol). I used OP Auto Clicker, but honestly any works lol

I’m sorry it didn’t work on your multiplayer! It should still work, but you need really good connection and the server needs to have a really low ping (aka basically no one online) I hope this helps 😁

Spent about 30 tries placing the piston.... spamming right click, mapping right-click to g, even using an autoclicker didn't work! Till I mapped right click to "q" then it worked every time after that (Java Edition) (1.18.1) thank you for this tutorial!

Timing or chance for what sorry? 😁 do you mean is it chance that the lever will be blown up or the bedrock is broken? For the lever there is always a chance it will be permanently destroyed, And for the bedrock if you do it correctly it should work most of the time but there’s still a chance you’ll have to try again 😁

I can not seem to get it to actually break the bedrock. I am on a java 1.18.1 realm. The piston that i place even faces the correct way yet the bedrock block wont break. The block that I am trying to break is at 127 with no block below it.

Interesting, I have to try this again. I did this the first time last week in 1.17 using the same technique as illustrated by wattles, but then when I tried it again last night after 1.18, it seemed to not work anymore. Maybe it's just become a lot harder to do... I'll have to give it another shot and report back

I recommend changing a key binding from right click to a letter so you can just press the key and have it auto-repeat rather than clicking very quickly, which I found difficult to do. It definitely still works.

THIS WON’T WORK if there’s a piglin or other entity climbing the ladder from where you get on the roof I had this issue so I went spectator to see a piglin climbing the ladder stuck at the top and making the bedrock unable to break even when the piston faces away. So if this doesn’t work when the piston faces outward after the explosion, make sure there’s nothing trying to climb up where you’re trying to break.

It depends on the server settings, sometimes in the config they disable bedrock breaking, but with servers that have allowed it it should work

​@@sushi_glitch5192 I'm hosting a papermc server myself - papermc fixes a bunch of vanilla bugs, bedrock removal and portal removal for example. if you are the admin of your server and can modify your paper.yml you can turn this off. look for the setting allow-perm-block-break-exploits, and set that to true - it is in the "unsupported-settings" group

Have you got the essentials plug-in on your server? If you do you have to turn bedrock breaking on in your essentials config 😁 if you don’t then it should work, it might just take a little longer as it needs a good connection to work 😁

If you’re doing it on a server and it isn’t working, the chances are unfortunately that they don’t have bedrock breaking enabled. If they have the essentials plug-in installed then they can turn it off which is what has likely happened unfortunately!
