I'd go with a 34 inch. At 12U they are using the 12 inch balls. A 33 inch mitt could work if your daughter has smaller hands.

Actually, this is a first baseman glove, a catcher mitt have thick padding and a single web, but great video either way😊

Different models of catchers mitts have different features but this is a catchers mitt I'm 99.9% sure. Softball catchers mitts have noticeably less padding than baseball catcher's mitts in my experience. I am not sure of the reason other than maybe the larger size of the ball.

Yea, like you said.... different sizes in gloves. This is definitely a catcher's mitt, specifically for softball. Baseball catchers mitts are built a little different with more padding.
