I'm old, over 70 now and have a lot of holsters. I'm a huge fan of European firearms, I've made several rifles using surplus Mauser actions. This holster is one of the highest quality that I've seen yet. It was for a Colt King Cobra in .357 magnum. I'm breaking it in now and it fits like a glove. My only minor complaint is that the alcohol dissolved the initials but thats just minor stuff. If you're the guy who actually makes these holsters, be proud of yourself. There are very few craftsmen left in the world. Count yourself as one..incredible work young man.

I just got my holster from you guys for my gun last night. 12/5/24 and yes, it’s was a bit of a bitch to get the gun in and get the belt loops to snap properly. All I did was stretch the belt loops w a hard stretch and twist, holster and re-holster while on my body several times and then leave the gun in the holster all night and wear the gun in the holster all day today 12/6/24. It fits like a glove. Not to detract from your sales for Leather conditioner, I’m sure it helps. But I didn’t bother. And I love my holster. And btw, it’s beautifully stitched and looks amazing.

Before I use the plastic bag method I apply a generous amount of Hubbard's leather conditioner to the inside of the holster , and then heat up the inside of the holster with a hair dryer till the leather has absorbed the Hubbard's. Wipe up the excess then push the bagged pistol into the holster while still hot, and let sit for a couple days. Afterwards I put an old sock into the holster to absorb leftover Hubbard's, so when I'm finished I end up with a perfect fitting holster that's not leaving residue on my pistol.

Denatured alcohol, plastic bag, overnight. Amazing! I’ve been around guns 60 of my 68 years. This holster is excellent, comfortable to wear, lightweight, glove fit! Like a good leather Texas saddle, the fit gets better with age and use. Patience is key with leather. The only thing I had to do was remove the Hogue grips and reinstall the original S&W grips for the thumb break strap to reach the snap. The quality of your holster is off the charts! On brand new holsters I like to put them in a sunny window sill for about 30+ minutes. When the leather is warmed a little from the sun light it's slightly more pliable. Making it even easier to fit the plastic bag covered handgun inside the holster. When a holster is very cold it's not as pliable; also when a holster is too hot it can be overly stretched. Warm is good, hot is too much.

Roll the airwedge into a tube, push it deep into the holster, put 2 popsicle stick on the top of the slide (upside) of the holster and the other two by the triggers side. Pump up the airwedge and leave it for 2 days, pumping the airwedge regularly to make sure it's full of air. I just received my new Craft Holster for my Glock 30. The holster actually fits pretty well and the leather strap stretched out a bit from just pulling it slightly. I think I`ll still try the plastic bag method to make the pistol a little easier to draw. My question though is this: my holster is a paddle holster, and I see two things that look like "pins" for lack of a better way to describe them, on the paddle. They are, I suppose the retention devices to keep the holster in place when drawing the firearm. There are multiple holes that they may be installed in and it looks like they`re removable with an Allen head wrench? Is it an Allen head wrench? I`ve found NO instruction for adjusting these in the literature included with the holster. Where can I get instructions on how to adjust these, and the proper setting for them?

Ballpark, how long does it usually take from the day the order is placed to the day it arrives?

Hey sir! Well to be honest, that depends largely on stock availability. If the holster you choose is available in stock for the selected configuration (gun model, hand, color), then it can be packed & shipped right away and with the fastest method (UPS Express), it can get to you within 2-4 business days. If the holster you choose isn't in stock, i.e. it has to be made first, then the shipping window only starts once your order is complete. Leather holsters usually take 4-5 weeks to make, so if you order today something that's not in stock, you can have it by the end of March (possibly a tad sooner). Regards, Al

I'd just play with it a bit, try stretching it by twisting and pulling towards you (just don't use way too much force). The leather straps on our holsters can be extended by more than an inch. I understand it's an unpleasant chore, but wet-molded leather holsters simply are like this sometimes (they have to be dryed out after they're done, which sometimes results in them shrinking a bit and feeling a bit too tight). How could i use these methods with a wallet holster?
@craftholsters3 жыл бұрын
Hey sir! I believe these methods should work even in case of wallet holsters, provided they are made of genuine leather. Give some of them a go and let me know :) Regards, Al

"protects your firearm from scratches" ...what type of leather do you own that is scratching metal? Cause i want some.
@wjdell46502 жыл бұрын
I have only done it a few times but STEAMING works for me. I insert my gun in hard and close the thumb break. Then I hold it over a pot of boiling water. I have a strainer and used tongs to turn it over. Takes less than a 30 minutes. Leave the gun in overnight to cool. There will be a few little spots inside that will still be rubbing hard. I rub just a tiny bit of synthetic grease on thoss friction spots a few times over the next month. The leather is flat in those spots

Sounds like this would be a faster method but I have a question: Do you seal the firearm in a plastic bag, or is there no concern over some flash rusting from the steaming and then letting sit in the damp holster?

There's got to be something to the plastic bag method. After all, it's in 2 out of 3 methods:)
@craftholsters3 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Sir, there indeed is lots to it :) We've recently started recommending the "Wet" method a bit more, as it's a bit less time-consuming, but putting your gun in a bag & letting it sit in the holster overnight almost always does the trick. Fresh leather sometimes is a bit tricky, but any of our tips & tricks can help you stretch/adjust the holster for a perfect fit. Regards, Al

I'm so prideful...spent many many minutes cursing and swearing as my Sig P226 Elite would not even halfway enter the holster. The next day, I swallow my pride and try the technique. First try with the plastic bag and alcohol - my firearm slips into position!!!

Hey Johny! Sir, I'm so glad to hear you decided to give the break-in procedure a try :) I apologize that the 100% fit wasn't there right from the start, but that's how fresh wet-molded leather sometimes works, it simply needs to be played with a bit. Thanks again and enjoy your holster! Regards, Al

Buy AMERICAN! I just got 2 holsters in for my Bul Armory Pistols and on one, the strap is a half inch too short to buckle and one the other, the female end of the buckle is damaged and so it won't close. I guess CRAFT has never heard of Quality Control!
@craftholsters8 ай бұрын
Hey again, Jose! I've said it enough times, but I can say it again. I do apologize for the strap issue, but I've already explained how to go about filing a claim with us and I also did promise you my colleagues will figure out a way to fully compensate you. And just because a strap on a wet molded holster feels a tad too short, it doesn't mean our holsters don't go through quality checks, cause they do. Wet-molded leather simply tends to shrink as the leather is drying out. Please, await further instructions from my colleagues from customer care dpt, who are well aware of your situation and are doing their best to resolve the entire problem asap. Regards, Al

@@craftholsters So today marks 6 days in trying to get either a refund or replacement holsters which is preposterous. They have all the pics they need but said it's still going to be another 3 days to make a decision lol. Also, the problem with the strap was only on one of the holsters and the problem was not even with the length of the strap as the strap is actually long enough. The problem is that the hardware was not attached further down the strap so that it could be used. But on the other holster, they used damaged hardware. Me saying that you guys either don't have a QC department or if you do, the QC department is doing a half-butt job has nothing to do with shrinkage, it has to do with products like the ones you sent me getting by without notice. Products with damaged hardware. It's sad because the leather worker did his job as the holsters fit nicely, but whoever the apprentice is that the leather worker handed the holster off to, to put the hardware on did not do his job. To make it worse I, the customer, have to deal with a customer service that acts like the decision that they have to make is one of national security size lol. NO! You guys messed up on not 1, but both of my holsters, you have the pics, what's so hard about it? Until they have resolved this I will continue at 30mph posting about my experience with Craft Holsters and believe me, these posts don't make you guys look good. God forbid they decide not to make things right with me, then I go from 30mph to 100mph, dedicating significant time to this matter. I'm already here on YT, FB, and IG.... next comes to making videos about it, posting on all of the gun forums, and really escalating things. I'm a business owner myself and never in all my years of business has it taken me 6+ days to handle a customer complaint, NEVER!

Good company to send products back to. Kimber K6s 2"...received first holster and it wouldn't fit if you beat it in with a hammer, sent pics to Craft and they agreed craftsmanship was off, replaced with another one...Same thing! Finally got a refund and got to keep 2 worthless holsters that I cannot use if I wanted to. Ordered a Galco Combat Master for that revolver and no break in needed, fits perfectly with perfect retention. Don't waste your money on Craft garbage.

Hey Joe! Sir, I'm sorry that we didn't deliver the promised quality. However, everyone makes a mistake every now and then and no one is absolutely perfect. We gave you a replacement holster at no cost and even a full refund for it, we were not trying to wrong you in any way. I hope you can understand that, just like we understand why you turned to another holster maker. Once again, I'm sorry and I'd like to thank you for your understanding. Regards, Al

Sure could have used the knowledge of those methode's when I got my holster from you instead of the sever fight I had to get it to fit. Like that force for the thumb strap. Mine was a good 1/4" to short and your kit did NOT come close to helping. Eventually I soaked it in conditioning oil to get it to stretch. I am reluctant to have you make more holsters for me going forward because of this type of lack of support. VERY DISAPPOINTED !!!!!!
