How offten do u rebuild them diffs?
@erikthegoprofanatic44378 жыл бұрын
No matter how long and carefully I do this break in process the diff still gets crunchy when u do the blip of the throttle and if it doesn't in the one lab I do at the track and this lab is slow as hell

Why do you only hold one side? wouldn’t it make sense to alternate which side you are holding?
@orvillepatch98729 жыл бұрын
not 100% sure but with a diff it turns all the gears inside, thats with a gear diff and with a ball diff it does the same
@willieevans109 жыл бұрын
but wouldn’t the balls spin in a different direction depending on which wheel you hold?
@orvillepatch98729 жыл бұрын
i guess but they aren't like breaking in tires, they are the same thing all around, don't have a side different than the other, thus it will wear evenly among the surface no matter the tires being held

I just got an rb6 im building up, I run on a small highbite indoor clay track. Should I get a ball diff or gear diff?
@bamboozledbob32988 жыл бұрын
+Cody Webster I'd suggest going ball diff as you won't have to worry about dirt going into the diff. Adjusting is just so much easier, though if you don't want to rebuild it, find an oil that suits the track and go gear diff.

+Robert K thanks for the reply, mip or kyosho ball diff in your opinion?
@bamboozledbob32988 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I can't tell you too much about mip. I'm kinda confused, on mip's hp it says a Kyosho diff gear set is required miponline.com/store/mip12158.html but reviews on this diff are great, so I don't think u can't go wrong with either

Pleasure :) It's the same for me, I run mostly Tamiyas, especially offroad hardly anybody is using these. Can't tell for sure though as I have no club or track nearby. Have fun with your Kyosho!
