@@CarlosDelaoGunEngraver Awesome. My method was of course when getting to track mount them. Then I'd immediately prep them. Let them sit while I'm preparing for practice. Come back, get batteries going the clean them if needed. I didn't clean every round and not everyone would agree with my method but I'd look them over really good. Plus I raced on carpet which is almost self cleaning in a way. Especially if you run it out the groove after a race. Then I'd reprep and let them sit. I feel the hardest part is figuring the cleaning a d prepping process and time frame. Some like the prep to sit and soak, some like to apply it right before the race. Depends on prep, preference and more. Find something that works for you and stick to it, adapt to make your process better over time but trying various things all at once is hard to track progress. With you running in concrete I imagine you would need to clean more often than I did. Hope that helps a d if I need to elaborate more just let me know and Id be happy to do so.

Thanks you so much for all your advise. Did you say you clean your tires on race day, with Simple Green, and the more prep?
@jbtricklerc2 жыл бұрын
Rod and Tami no problem at all. Thats the goal of the channel, to help and to entertain. It depends on the tires. I used watered down simple green and water for my bandito and DE tires or is use Sticky Icky Tire cleaner. for my foam tires I use Sticky Icky tire cleaner always. I clean them after every round and re-prep them with my prep of choice. For rubber tires I like to use Sicky Icky #1 and LE. For my foam tires I like to use Sticky Icky Zero, #2 and sometimes #3 or #4 depending on track conditions. For drag racing I use Sticky Icky also with either Beetlejuice, bug guts or Gremlin goo. If you wanted to give Sticky Icky a try, message me on Facebook and I can give you a referral discount code for 10% off your first order.

I ran dirt oval on loose top soil and how would you prep jconcepts sprinters and would it be different for the compounds like red, blue and green? Thanks
@jbtricklerc2 жыл бұрын
@@trevorkrohn8930 great question. To be honest I'm not as familiar with loose dirt as most tracks around here are high bite dirt surfaces. I'd imagine with loose dirt you'd also want a prep that soaks in more and doesn't leave a honey like later on the tire that would pick up and hold dirt in the needle type treads which could cause loss if traction. The different tire compounds definitely always come into play. General rule of thumb is the less grip the track has, the softer tire you want. That's what a lot of these pre-break in methods do is get that hard sealed top layer off the rubber so the tire can soak in the conditioners, softeners and preps.

Hi mate, what beadlocks are those? Cheers
@jbtricklerc Жыл бұрын
Trav, its kind of a funny story. Those are not actual beadlocks. They are glue on rims and they are made my proline. They are molded to look like beadlocks. The reason they look so different is because I took a chrome permanent marker (off amazon) and colored the spokes and rivets to give it a more detailed look lol. easy to do, just takes a little time.

Dose this work for getting more grip on a vta car u race on carpet my car is sliding all over the track
@jbtricklerc Жыл бұрын
Billy, Absolutely. In fact, the those smaller tires are VTA tires that was shown in the video as well. Those newer tires are so hard when new, so sanding/scuffing and tire conditioning with the ziplock bag is pretty much necessary in my opinion.

@@jbtricklerc ok thanks I have some wap tire conditioner I use on my drag tires I'll get them scuffed up and put them in bags till race day
@ericpine4844 Жыл бұрын
Do you apply the conditioner a few times while in storage over a few days? Should you keep them out of the bag and let them dry for any reason? I'm trying to get my new VTA tires ready for a race in 4 days. My current tires are too soft and ballooned. Ty for the tips.

Thank you for the video. So a penetrate oil works best? I was thinking that I got blaster and wd-40. It made the tires super soft.👍🏿👍🏿
@jbtricklerc2 жыл бұрын
No problem at all, also, thank you for the comment and support Rufus. It's not necessarily that penetrating oil works best as much as it's a preference of mine from years of doing it. After lots of trial and error lol. It's easy to over do it and hurt a tire as well. But PB blaster and Now Sticky Icky Tire Conditioner are some of my favorites. If you ever want to give Sticky Icky a try send me a message on Facebook and I can give you a 10% off referral code.
