Personally I think their mother (or perhaps caretaker if not mother) may have been a member of the Don Quixote family. We have seen them time and again become dissillusioned with their own perceived godhood and face their mortal end because of it. Twin could not have give WB scar, because during Valley, Shanks was baby. Clone also not possible, because clone would need to look like 40 year old Shanks that met WB. Cloning was not even the thing in WG in that time. Only if WB got that scar recently, but then it would mean Marco and other commanders also fought Holly Knights and Im pretty sure if that happened we would know that. Its obviously Garling that gave him scar, since he had the same face as Shanks during Valley.

Twins that have been separated since birth in actual case studies have shown that twins uptake similar hobbies n personality traits. I'm really not a fan of this theory, for two reasons. That means Kaido "If it's a one v one bet on Kaido" got held back by presumably just Shank's brother and maybe one or two people with him if I'm being generous. Which feels terrible. Opposed to Kaido and his crew getting stopped by Shanks and his crew. Also him intercepting Kaido is WHY he came so late and after so much death had happened. If he didn't have to intercept Kaido, why didn't he show up sooner at Marineford? It wasn't exactly a mystery that Ace was being executed and he knew WB would do anything to save him so there is no reason for Shanks to show up that late UNLESS he had to intercept Kaido first.

It's not a twin or clone. It's literally a part of Shanks his mother cast away using someone's devil fruit skill. Figurland just like all the Holy Knights are strong but Emu "Infected" them with his power to take their powers to another level. This infection comes with power but also comes with a shackle of obedience that can even pass on to the children of the person who obtained this power from Emu. So when Shanks was born, his mother removed the infection so she can give her only child true freedom from Emu. The part that was ripped out from Shanks become stabs.

I personally think it's possible that the whole figarland bloodline are clones much like the situation with germa. They were bred to be elite soldiers for the celestial dragons which is why figarland looked enough like shanks to question but not a one to one like this new character where he is for all intents and purposes a one to one of Shanks. It would also explain shanks reaction to what roger said. Finding out you're a clone to carry out orders from the celestial dragons would be pretty heartbreaking. I think it also helps explain some of what was going on at god Valley especially with Saturn's presence there being highlighted. 9:20 The Figarland family is one of the 19 celestial dragon families, it would make sense for the family to have mutiple living members besides Shanks and Garling, and I wouldn't worry about mutiple Shanks running around ruining the story, because first of all only his twin would have his same exact face (even Garling looks different in his youth), and second of all even then they would be entirely different personality wise, third of all family is not narrative clones and therefore they don't would occupy the same narrative spave andway (think Mingo and Rocinante). 10:30 I feel the same about the Kuma thing, but i do think that you can take Lilith's promise with a grain of salt, what she WaANTED TO DO and what she CAN DO are two completely different things, I suspect getting Kuma back would not be as easy as it sounds in her head, that is if it can be done at all, I think it would be a bitter sweet thing at best, something like Kuma's soul has already past on leaving his body behind as a blank slate like a new bore baby, and follow up by the philosophical question of whether or not giving him back his memory even though his soul is different and now having the chance to start his life anew without his past reincarnation's tragidies dictate his brand new life.

One Piece just keeps deeper in lore, in mythology and the lives of the major players in the New World. The final saga is intense. And it's showing that there's cultural tension in Elbaph. There's more to Loki than what the giants are saying. And there's other giants we haven't met yet that wouldn't see the Straw Hats as allies. I'm very interested to see how Usopp's development will spark through all of this. No matter how time moves through this arc, I'm patiently waiting to see how Vegapunk's return will further assist the Straw Hats. They're going to need a lot of help it seems. It's past the point of only seeing what the Monster trio can do. As for Shanks potential twin (since that isn't confirmed), I'm more interested in awaiting the reveal of his motivations, seeing how he fights, and who fights him. Dragon was right. Once the God's Knights are on the move, that's when things will get serious. And we are here. We can't forget about what's going on in Wano. We can't forget that slimy devil fruit user (I forget his name) is now some kind of informant and member of the BlackBeard pirates. Information, just like Big Mom understood, can tip the scales. Shanks is just the first of these clones not raised by the world nobles but instead by roger. Thats why he turned out different from all the prior clones. Brago, we need to talk about why Oda brought up Vegapunk’s “choice” for choosing a woman for Lilith. I find it interesting how that is as mentioned in particular and then we get a random Holy Knight that looks JUST LIKE Lilith. What if Lilith is based on that Holy Knight? The satellites have to be based on people who are real or once alive at some point. Clones are way too relevant at this point in the story, and I think the satellites are clones of special people.

I'd like to think it's a twin because of the narrative connotations. Shanks and "Stabs" would be examples of the exact same people raised differently and how it affected them. One Piece is about inherited will. What kind of will would Shanks inherit growing up under Roger and Stabs under the Celestials. Next is how it happened. Since Garling is a rule to the letter kind of guy, what if there's a rule about God Knights only allowing one per family or an heir. And Stabs was chosen so Garling instead of being the sensible adult and just raising Shanks chose to abandon him.

Maybe he looks like Shanks now because of the mission. We don’t know what he looked like while growing up. The only thing for sure is that a young Fingerland had the same face as Shanks, but not the same haircut. i dont know how the timeline works, but what if loki accidentally (or not) killed his dad to protect lola. maybe his dad saw it as disrespect by turning down their prince loki and wanted to imprison or kill her. maybe thats what got him locked up. maybe he told luffy as well?

My theory is twins. They are royals. Twins mess with the clear line of succession. I think they chose to abandon Shanks so his brother can take the Figarland throne. Also I think Roger told Shanks about a child and what he saw at Laugh Tale. I think the Nika fruit was for Ace. Shanks knew how important that fruit was so he sacrificed his arm to not have to search for it again.

Pretty sure luffy would be able to tell shanks and stabs appart, remember in wano luffy knew it was shanks purely through his haki, i dont think stabs will have the same feeling with his haki. Its gonna be a spider sense moment, his eyes is saying shanks but with an unexplained nasty gut feeling that something isn't right.

What if they have a man-made version of Bonnie's fruit and Figurlan Garland has it. With that power age to his prime was him who visited the Gorosa and not shanks. Now he is in Elbaph with prime Figurlan Garland strength 💪. So i thinks its not Stabs, twin Shanks, nor Shanks. But Prime FG in his prime with the Age Age fruit . Scary strong!

My thoughts from an outside perspective looking in, at a group of people that REALLY obsess/love this manga. You guys should limit your expectations of how great the ending of this manga probably will be. It seems like the studio behind the One Piece series don't want it to end until enough plot holes are filled and the ending can hit hard enough that it doesn't do damage to their studio. I believe the ending to One Piece was meant to be goofy and silly, but people are taking it so seriously now that Oda doesn't want to disappoint but he knows it will to a lot of fans

There might be possibilities for having clone of Garling and they might be Shanks and that rat Shonks/Stabs (whatever you wanna call lol) and according to Norse mythology one follows moon (Imu??)and one follows sun (Luffy). And why do i feel he’s clone rather than twin is because Garling looks exactly like Shanks in his prime similarly how Stussy clones literally look like her in prime.

I think Oda is using the revival of these "dead" characters like Kuma and Vegapunk as a bait and switch for killing Garp. After seeing some of these recent events lead to the death of very impactful and liked characters, only to see them undone or not result in the death we thought was gonna happen, it gives the readers hope Garp will end up the same way. Oda will then use that hope to make the loss of such a beloved and impactful character that much worse(maybe by initially letting it look like he gets saved, only for BB or Figarland to swoop in and kill him) which I feel is needed in a way anyway to propel Luffy/Dragon towards the end of the story and show that this final arc is a true war, not like the childish story we've had for the most part up until now where most things work out and have a happy ending.

so when you brought up the comment about there being a bunch of shanks clones, i thought what if they had different fighting styles? not that itd be much better but if it went that route, thats what id like to see. i.e. shanks is THE haki man but what if this clone/brother has a whole other sword style(lowkey calling godknights powersystem like 7 powers/haki of their own) anyway just an idea if it went that route. 2025 will be a crazy year

I'm n board with Loki being good and all that. And I can perfectly see the story develop after luffy inevitably frees him. However my question for you is. How does that tie with Usop how will usop feel towards luffy or being "antagonized" by the giants. Also considering his reaction to the new generation of giants that are not warriors. Because this is not looking anything like what we expected of Elbaf and Usop as a whole
