How to breathe while singing: mouth or nose breath?

what about female singer lara fabian live why does she breathe heavy on mic? what would her breathing be like post concert? how do you calm heavy breathing down after intense concert?

You are amazing! You are incredible. I am a professional pianist (classical, jazz, boogie woogie, popular, ragtime) who started singing, oh, about 7 years ago. (visit: Flint Long Promotional Video on youtube) I have no classical or opera vocal aspirations, but I do love singing popular music. Julia! This is fantastic! What would you suggest for a catch breath when you only have maybe a single beat in between phrases? Would you leave the mouth open, but inhale through the nose for those?
