Have you tried sekectively breed some to have desired criteria?
@BubblyPetz16 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! I haven’t exactly purposely tried to do that, but I have a tendency to keep any all black ones I find, and now, I notice that more are born drastically darker and quite a few are completely black. So, I definitely think it is possible to an extent.

What's a good starting price to sell the large ones? What about the small and medium roaches?
@BubblyPetz12 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for watching my video! I’m not very sure myself about pricing since I currently don’t sell mine, but what I’d start by doing is checking what other people sell their roaches for. You can look on places like eBay and Amazon for reference.

What animals do you feed these to?
@BubblyPetz13 жыл бұрын
Hi, Jessie A. These cockroaches are quite large as adults, so any large amphibian or reptile should be able to eat them, while the smaller babies and juveniles can be fed to smaller reptiles and amphibians. When feeding, a good rule of thumb is to make sure that the hisser is not bigger than the animal’s head. For me, I use the cockroaches to feed to my bullfrogs.

I do not want to sound mad or anything but please stop keeping your complete colony on egg carton Roahes are also animals and i guess you wouldnt keep your snake or beerded dragon on egg carton as well so i am beging you to make them a real nature like enclosure and dont feed them conrflakes only feed them fruits and maybe oats and cat food if you need it for the proteen
@BubblyPetz1 Жыл бұрын
When I was starting out with my roaches, I did keep them in a naturalistic enclosure, but I found that mold was a reoccurring issue, and there wasn’t enough surface area to keep several roaches. This video is outdated, and I now keep my colony in a large plastic tub. I still keep them on egg cartons, though, since it maximizes the space and hiding spots, so you can raise as many roaches as possible, and it makes harvesting them a lot easier. I breed them for food for my pets, and while the setup may be “cruel” for pet Madagascar hissing cockroaches, it is what works best for my colony with my purposes in mind.

@@BubblyPetz1everyone else on KZbin keeps their colonies on egg cartons, so i don’t know why this dude is singling you out and “begging” you. I’ve also noticed my roaches seem happier and feel safer with all the hiding places of the egg cartons. It’s like watching them play and eat in a playground all day. They seem to love all the climbing too.
