Toothless Reptiles I got the power sun but what I was asking is even if the eggs are just slugs do I still need a heat mat under the bin ? Because in your video you say the heat lamp is not enough

The heat mat is to create good condition for your lizard to lay the eggs and not get egg bound. Has nothing to do with keeping eggs alive. It's a matter of keeping your female healthy. The animal doesn't know that her eggs aren't fertile.

Is burying the heat mat safe? I thought they needed air circulation so they don't get too hot and melt. This was a very good video though and gave me some ideas for my quince project!

in an area that big and a mat that small you are never going to be able to over heat it. there just isn't enough heat energy in 32 watt and the mats from bean farm are all sealed and water resistence. works well.

Curious to know which Heat Mat you are using? After perusing Bean Farm I seem to only find the Kane branded mats?
