Beautiful machines. Love the sling blade cameo. Great clean up and restoration. The Bermuda here is starting to really green up.

Thank you and I totally agree. There is something special about the simplicity of the older models. It has been a super slow green up for me this year, I'm still not even there yet, it should be soon though, thanks for watching and commenting

I've been a mechanic in the golf industry for almost 20 years. Toro in my opinion is hands do the best. I've had several fleets of 3500's, 4500's, 1600's, flex 21's, 3400's and 5510's. Very little maintenance. The hardened bedknives last a year on the 3400 and 5510's. With proper backlapping we only ground the reels once a year when the bedknives finally needed changing.

Awesome job man. I just picked up an old 04050 with an fg150. Can’t find a carb for this ole gal, but ordered a cheap carb for an fe150 to see if I can get it to work. If not that’s ok, I’ll get a new needle and float ( more expensive than Amazon carb)and hope that fixes my problem. She runs and cuts paper though!

Awesome man! You might be able to Frankenstein one together. Keep on eye on Amazon it's strange like when I was first looking they had plenty available then they ran out quick - I guess lots of folks are hunting for them. Sounds like you got a good one too!! 👍

mostly ebay and amazon. What's crazy about amazon is they will have a good one in a then like 1 day later it will be gone and not come back

Hi BB I have Greensmaster 800 how can I slow down the speed, too fast in the slow gear. Do I need to change the throttle cable? ?
@BermudaBossАй бұрын
Yeah man I had the same issue. I adjusted the low idle screw and throttle cable down under the gas tank area. You want the throttle itself (near handle bar) to have a nice range of motion when moving it from low to high rpm. It might take some fiddling around or I know it took me a while to find the sweet spot. I didn't need a new cable though.

Man I would prob just try to clean it. The one I got was on Amazon but says no longer available. I'd just order several if you have to and surely one will be decent then return the others. The oem carbs are expensive on those models.

@@BermudaBoss Does the bottom bowl come off of the OEM one? Every carb I've ever had, that bowl came off, but this one looks like it's stuck in there for good. May be designed that way and I don't wanna break it
