Could you do a video at the end of the month with budgeted vs expected and how you true up if things don’t do exactly as planned or where you reallocate money if you are under budget.

This is a great idea! Maybe at the beginning of February’s budget, I’ll do a January review xxxx

Great video, love the honesty and hearing you talk about both the goals you achieved and the ones you didn't! Would be really interested in a video at the end of the month or middle of the year assessing how well you've been able to stick to your budget x

Such a refreshing and inspiring video as always! I’m going to use your spreadsheet this week to plan my 2025 budget. Well done on the savings pots! I’ve opened a Monzo account so I just need to start using it now. Love your videos.

Absolute love your budget videos and your honesty Shan! its nice to see many of us our in the same boat :) Definitely giving me motivation to save more. I love the monzo app, so i will look into this. Me and my husband have recently reviewed all our finances but it would be good to put money into virtual pots etc Good luck with Japan 2030! I'm trying to save for Canada 2026 but that's only next year eek. i fear it may be pushed back to 2027 though for when our mortgage hopefully comes down in December fingers crossed but we will see! xx

Child benefit is 170.20, also childcare Halle will qualify for 30hrs come September which will help with nursery costs if you were to go back to work. Love your videos.

great video. I'm doing the no spend January challenge again this year. Hopefully also into Feb! I reduce the cost of days out for kids by asking for vouchers for local activities so using them throughout jan/feb and the free vue tickets each month with sky too! feeling good about this year! xxx

Love these videos.. Inspiring me to pull my finger out and get on top of my finances this year. Would love to know how you managed to renovate your bathroom for 1500, even with your partners labour.. That's really impressive!

Hi Shan, what about saving for retirement and investing?
@BlessedPetrelКүн бұрын
Very detailed and transparent budget. I was just wondering if you save for Emergency Fund, savings, and investing via ISA?

This is very organised and impressive. Can I ask your plans for a pension? Or retirement planning? I didn’t see any mention of that on the spreadsheet. Or do you have something through your business?

Didnt you use hyperjar before? Do you mind me asking why you switched. Just interested as I now have hyperjar but if Monzo is better I would move 😊
@HomeWithShan2 күн бұрын
I did! I loved Hyperjar so much, and I use Monzo in exactly the same way. The only reason I switched is because Monzo offers interest on savings pots!
@wilsonblack2023Күн бұрын
Do you choose what u spend from? IE if you are eating out, do I have to set your Monzo to spend from that pot? Great vid as always
@HomeWithShanКүн бұрын
@@wilsonblack2023 exactly, I usually just transfer the money into my main Monzo account from the pot I’ve decided to spend from!
