How to Build a 2022 F1 Car in Lego!

As a 50+ year old, I'm absolutely gutted. In my prime LEGO time, there were no wheels/tires to build this. Half of the bricks in front of you didn't exist. ABSOLUTLY GUTTED.

My sons and I spent 3 to 4 hours digging on our lego boxes finding all necessary briks. Finally we did 2 cars almost identical to yours! We felt very proud at the end of the job!! 😁 We miss the HALO section (we can't find the handle...) and managed for few differences on the lateral panels of the rear wing. For the second car (what we internally call "the prototype") we found an alterative way to build the bottom of the car without the "car shaped " piece... it works well. Working on a briklist is so difficult... but I'll try to do it in couple of weeks! 😅😅

What length are the axles? I use tyres from this years mercedes lego set, because they have Pirelli print on them

@@megafrodo100 i found the axles from my Speed Champions Porsche 911 dual pack. Hopefully that helps!

@@kiankra305or the Porsche 911 one pack in white they also come in the speed champions Mercedes f1 set from 2017 and half of the pieces needed are in that set but you have to pay like £100 for it

Yo this tutorial was sick, don't have the pieces for it, but was still an entertaining watch. You could make your own kits for the cars and sell them, cause everyone doesnt have a bunch of surplus Lego sitting around. Maybe buy those pieces and sell a kit for a specific team, along with the stickers. Those would sell like hotcakes, and I would love to have a shelf with all 10 teams' cars on it!

Great tutorial man! I was trying to build an F1 car in Lego and thank you so much for posting this; your car models are the best! Unfortunately I don't have/can't find all the required pieces (I know I have a couple that are used here but I don't know where) and I have the Lego speed champions McLaren F1 car so I managed to make a red and silver grey McLaren with a blend of the 2022 and 2017 car models but hopefully I'll be able to find a way to make the rear wing and the halo with my pieces

I really like the look of the Mercedes car this season with the vertical side pods instead of the horizontal like the Ferrari or Redbull. Is the build generally the same for the Mercedes just with a change in side pod design or do you have to change the structure completely?
