How did you center hole on barrel for plastic insert?
@silenceofthehams6902 Жыл бұрын
I measured across side to side and top to bottom. Marked each location and adjusted it accordingly. Turned out perfect!

Way how not to build a feeder LMAO
@silenceofthehams69024 жыл бұрын
Hmmm yeah after looking at your page and seeing all of the "how to" videos demonstrating your expansive knowledge on this subject I realized that your probably just another key board warrior sitting in his parents basement being a fucktard. "IF" you had been paying attention I did say that it was my first feeder I have built. Which buy the way it is STILL going and has survived 4 hurricanes. So yeah pretty damn good smart guy. SMH stupid people never seem to fully grasp reality. Oh and try learning how to proofread what you've written. It seems to have more validity than random stupid shit thrown together. LOL

Would it work with out the funnel?
@silenceofthehams69025 жыл бұрын
Yes it will work without. You will just end up with corn on the bottom of the feeder. How much is anybody guess. I will say this feeder has been thru 3 hurricanes and is still going strong. All of the other so called "store bought" feeders have died and needed to be resuscitated.
@silenceofthehams69024 жыл бұрын
Yes it will but you will end up with a lot of corn in the bottom of the barrel

Hey, Why thank you. Yeah the Moultrie Pro Magnum feeder motors are the way to go. I have 8 now and I just sent one back for repair. All I had to pay was the shipping which was 17.00 dollars. I read were one guy was bitching that he had to pay for shipping when it's a life time warranty. Ahh HELLO why would the manufacturer pay for shipping? Any way, Great motors! And as far as I know I'm not related...:)

WHERE DID YOU GET THE COUPLERS?
@silenceofthehams69026 жыл бұрын
I bought couplers, chain, all thread etc. from Lowes. Don't bother going to Home Depot. There not noted for a large variety of that sort of thing for what ever reason. I also bought the stainless 1/4" cable that I stretched between 2 trees and the U bolts etc. there as well. Found a 2 speed boat winch on line on amazon for 80.00.

Where did you buy the funnel?
@silenceofthehams69027 жыл бұрын
I bought it at Academy. You have to use a 2x4 to work it down inside the barrel good but it fit like a glove. I did try using a metal one but it was just to difficult to get it to fit right. It turned out great and runs better than any of the other feeders we have on the property. Well until I rebuilt all of them too. I switched out all of the motors to the Moultrie Pro Magnum Feeder Motors and haven't had any issues os of yet. It's been just over a year now. Fun to do and it beats buying one that is usually a pizza shit.

Is the plastic funnel holding up well? No issues with squirrels or raccoons trying to eat the plastic from the bottom?
@silenceofthehams69027 жыл бұрын
The funnel fits down inside of the barrel and then the motor bolts to the bottom. No issues with squirrels, raccoons etc. since it's hanging in the air.

I did in the video! It works better than any other feeder we have had on our property. I highly recommend the Moultrie Pro magnum feeder motors.

Yeah I forgot to do that. DMAN IT! I will tell you that it has lasted thru 4 hurricanes
