Add a water feed line connected to a toilet tank float so it'll refill the water as it evaporates! 👍

Love the burnt wood finish. 2 things no overflow for when it rains and the silicon can be applied to the drips before plug them into the pvc pipe. Few water loving plant arround it, and a night light, it will look stellar!!

Enjoyed your video. Considering water feature in our garden. For me a big part of the selection will be the actual sound of the water feature as that varies a lot with different water feature designs. As such a short section of video where we could hear what the completed water feature sounds like without any other audio would have helped. This seems to be something most water feature videos overlook. Thanks again for the video and ideas.

I agree with fur about a liner, and adding weed fabric on top of the water collector to keep any debris out. Other than that it's a nice and easy way to add some curb appeal. Good job.

Cool water feature but you'll constantly be adding water to the basin with this design due to wind and splashing water on the rocks. Ive built several style "pondless" water features like this and have always had to return to using pond liner extending farther past the catch basin to catch all the water. I really like how you scorched the cedar.

We built one about twice this size and its been a nightmare. Used pond liner for the basin. Everything works fine until its ran long enough to splash water outside of the basin and it flows under the liner. Then the hole fills up with water, raising the pond liner, and removing water from the basin.... took it all apart and lined the basin with thick stone tile. After a while it did the same exact thing. There's no way this guy isn't having issues. I'd like to see what his looks like today.

I plan on doing something like That. Thought about metal plated face that would rust over time. I wished you would've shown a bit more detail on your non-screwed "access panels". I think adding pond liner around the Periphery sloping towards the catch basin would help retain water from splashes
