I just finished my build of one today. I did the back tape mod. Gateron PCB stabilizers are cheap, work great and fit perfect lubed. I got some lubed Akko V3 Creamy Yellow switches with some decent PBT double shot front facing caps and it sounds and looks amazing.

Thanks for the vid man, i bet i would've bought this board if I found your vid earlier. Now im taking the route with Akko's 5075b plus. It is still cheap and probably just like a 75% version of gmk67, (yeah it's a gmk67 with an F row and a north facing pcb. It comes already sounding good out of the box as well but i will still mod it. The only downside i think is that it is north facing pcb, but I don't plan on using cherry profiles anyway so it isnt a deal breaker for me. Also software is present.

hey have you ever thought of how this keyboard would sound if it had a plateless option? I've modded mine to be plateless and still be supported by the plate gaskets and the difference is damn awesome! it sounds much cleaner with no plate and keycap profile becomes much more apparent, it also becomes more flexible if you're into that

@@sulcetech I cut all around the plate but kept all screw points on it so it can still support the pcb. The switches are held by both the socket and retention pins(5pin)

Also the switches do not sit the tightest so it may not be the best idea, I've tried a few gateron switches and their retention pins weren't thick enough to keep from wobbling, swk were pretty good but still a little wobbly, outemu(u4tx) fit very snug

My one gripe that stopped me from buying this board outright was the volume knob. It's press to mute instead of play/pause and that's actually a dealbreaker for me personally. If only their software allowed for remapping to Play/Pause and it would save to memory. So close yet so far.

I have this keyboard since may and I bought XVX profile keycaps. But I find typing a bit difficult cause caps are all too near each other. To have more "space" I need to buy some other keycaps or it's just the keyboard layout that is like this?

The keycaps should be the problem, XVX profile I am assuming you got the low profile ones are closer. Try Cherry Profile Keycaps

if you want a board that sounds amazing just go gmk67 milky yellows (dont have to be lubed they are GREAT stock) durock screw in/plate mount (plate mount may require stability bandaid mod, but they are good) tape mod holee mod dielectric grease on wires

Just saying, if you decide to use Gat Yellows, it is well worth it to get the Pro version for a few extra dollars. Newer molds and applied lube make it a much better option than the standard version, which as of late (personal experience) is scratchy feeling and sounding, presumably due to worn tooling. But your mileage may vary, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Hey don’t be scared to pull it apart, there are 2 pieces, you can see a line through the middle of the board where the curve is. It’s hard to open, you have to use quite a bit of force on the first time. Let me know how it goes!

It’s supposed to work, are your switches connected correct? Maybe pins aren’t in? Also check PCB inside keyboard to see if it’s not messed up. Finally check with the software, connect usb cable to both keyboard and computer. Check to see if the shift key is assigned correct. If none of this works you may have a faulty keyboard, return it.

Hey yea the software is the description, I believe it allows for macros and lighting changes. You have to plug the USB cable to your PC when using it.

@@sulcetech What would keyboard tester be? When I increase and decrease the volume, that volume monitor appears. I used that application you included in the video to remap keys, and I tested the knob, it is only being recognized as Volume UP both when scrolling to decrease or increase. I believe this is a big factory error, it shouldn't be possible to change it unfortunately. It's one of the coolest things I expected from this keyboard.

You don’t have to take any screws out open the case (basically pull top off) that space between the arrow keys and the FN key, you’ll see 2 holes put the tape on top of the holes, thats where the light shines through
