This is a really cool project. Do you think there is any possibility in having the whole setup connected via sim card to have a totally wireless, portable gpt assistant?

you could definitely run off data, not a mobile app dev so wouldnt be something worth pursuing for me. good idea though, you could try to build it

Hey bud I was thinking about a similar idea for my son with autism who really has a hard time communicating. I have a smart house and nothing is picking up his commands. They are jumbled and out of order but they are the same every time. Do you think deep speech could be used with this? You can train deep speech to recognize slurs and accents so why not have it translate for my son into correct phrases and play out loud real time. Give him some real connectivity like he has never had other than his mom and I. Possible?

Hey, I certainly think that's possible. However, there aren't any deep speech recognition libraries that I know of. You would have to train it from scratch (preferably supervised learning) and have common sentiment extraction tools to help translate. If you are serious about it I'd recommend consulting a professional about it :)

Yes, for raspberry pi there is a small os needed. Take a look at some other videos on youtube and use tools like chatgpt to work your way through system errors. Let me know if you have any questions!

to change to english, make sure the setproperty line has the index `[17]` instead of what you had it before. for the other question, I'm not sure how to do that yet. the tutorial assumes you are connected to wifi and have an input microphone and output speakers
