Maybe PVC pipe with a little bit of cement in them and holes so water can get in so they won't float will be cheaper. Screwed in floor with 1 inch holes so water can transfer making up and down adjustments quicker.

Hi Peter, nice work. Looking at the setup I guess that the floor is floating when there is no pulling used or do you have both upwards and downwards pull with the winch? How many kilos can it carry when up before sinking? And how do you secure it at the top?

@@poolfloorup did you make any changes to lock the platform at top yet? Also roughly how much do your services cost?

Hello Sir Firstly thanks for sharing this video and congrats on getting it done! I am Mr. Bhuta from Mumbai India and am looking to make the same in my backyard. I have my own fabrication shop and are well versed with SS316L. Any possibility of helping me out with technical details mainly related to the mechanics of mobility of the floor up and down with the electric winches etc? Please do let me know. Warm Regards

I look excellent on you, I have a single question, how do you clean it? I imagine it gets less dirty, but how do you clean under the movable floor?

Hi peter great job it’s very safe with kids around. You have used a electric wrench. One question I have is it more affordable to use a hydraulic jack system? Also could you share the detail drawings of connecting the steel cables with the pulley.

This is great. You say you can design the frame for a fee? How do you keep the floor at the diaries level? Do you have feet? Many thanks for inspiring 🌹
@Lordp00m3 жыл бұрын
You can probably add more safety by adding locking pins at different heights (or clamps if you want variable height). So that if for some reason anything should break, the pins will keep the frame from falling. It will also make the whole thing more stable and bear more weight (for example when it's above the pool). You can also add some stairs to it. Should not be too hard if what you've got is stable enough.

@@poolfloorup so looking forward to doing this. An answer for a multifunction pool with a small footprint. My goal is to be able to dive, play volleyball and have a baby pool in the same space. Was wondering what my next step is. I’m just in the planning process so far.

Hi Peter, good work!!!!. I have been looking for something like this for months. Question: Did you use one motor or do you have two motors at each end to lift the platform? It's hard to see in the video how you set up the pulleys (side to platform / floor to platform). Is it possible that you can make another video explain in more detail how each part was assembled and how the mechanism really works? It would be great for many like me interested to build one of these mobile pool floors. Thank you much for your help and for sharing.

How hard is this to put together? I'd love to have a movable floor on our pool because of our younger kids, but wouldn't be able to afford $300K. I'm also not sure I'd be able to build what you've built in this video... that's impressive!
