Nice job, it’s important to note when measuring out distances on the board, you need to use the outside edge of the bit, not the exact center of the router hole. You did that, but many over see that simple step

Thanks Elysia you've made it so uncomplicated. I've just bought an American Oak table top ( round) too big. I can't get any one interested in cutting it down. I'm going to try myself. Thank you

So I bought a used router with a table on Marketplace. It is so big and intimidating! I watched this video and ran out to buy the palm router like yours - much better! Today I finally made the jig and just in time as I have a paint party and need 6 circles in just a few days. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this video!

Hi Elysia. I have recently taken up working with a wood lathe and needed a jig for my router so that I could cut a circle in order to make a sanding wheel for the lathe. I found your video and was able to quickly and easily make the jig. It worked perfectly. Thank you so very much for posting your video. Great work!

I am thrilled to find your KZbins. I have been wishing to continue learning to use my routers. A couple decades ago I started using them but got distracted and am now going back through all my books. But your teaching method is fantastic. I got more out of watching two of your productions than an hour of studying books with pictures. Thank you I will keep watching.

Nice and simple with no extra hardware to buy for "features" no one is ever going to use. I would suggest one addition that only requires drilling extra holes. If pick a bushing that you will always use with the jig you can make a second set of holes measured from the other side of the bit and add the offset of the bushing to create a pattern. If you put a hole for instance between the five and six inch mark (whatever the actual measurements turned out to be) you would get a circle bigger than ten inches but we're not interested in the circle in this case. The hole you just made with the alternate measurement will now make perfectly sized ten inch holes if you put the bushing on the router and run it along the inside of the circle. You'll get your ten inch circle except this time it won't have a hole in the middle. The kind of decorations you showed at the end of the video the hole won't matter but say you wanted to make a lid for a round box or something you don't want a hole in the middle of.

Awesome solution for sure. Another tip is putting a hook on the ceiling and hanging your cord on it. It's also super awesome to use upside down clamping or securing it down and then you can turn the wood instead of your router so you don't have to worry about the cord. Good luck on your builds.
