How To Build a DIY Catio / Cat Run

I built a nice one tor my garden. Just as winters coming im putting the roof on.... Just didnt make a slope! So trying to work out how to now do it so it looks good still 😂

Oh no! I don't vary the height of my frames but I add a piece of timber on the high side after just to give the roof a slight slope

I just did a video with my cat but awesome bud that’s great and wish more people did that for their cats. I basically made long cat run shelf’s all through my place but my lazy cat never used them so half are gone the other half has stuff on them. But I was also thinking of doing something like that for him outdoors and always enjoy building stuff. I’ve got few projects in the works now I’m basically always working on something

Hi I'm looking to build my cat a catio but choosing the right wire mesh is a mine field, could i ask which you used? Catio looks fab by the way 🙂

Hello, my preference is 25mm square pvc coated weld mesh. I prefer it much over chicken wire as it doesn't stretch and helps makes much neater panels.

No it isn't fixed to any slabs

It's solid because it's made from 3x2 timber and once all the sides and roof are attached and it's fixed to the wall it's fine
