Just what I am looking for. Fantastic. I will be building a slightly bigger version, a 4 panel unit (4 feet tall by 8 feet in total) The issue I have is that hardwood timber is extortionate to buy in the UK. So, I'll have to find something recycled maybe to keep cost down.

Thanks so much for the tips on building your own dj facade! I started a mobile DJ company recently, and I’m struggling to get a pro looking facade for cheaper and this might fit the bill! So where do you all DJ?

The good thing about this facade is that it leaves the table corners open for people to set their drinks on.

Hey man! Thanks for this great video. I plan to build one this size, and a larger one that can go in front of an entire table. Can you post a link to the fabric you used?

Hey thanks for the sub! There’s a link to the fabric I used in the video description. It’s only about $6 a yard. If you re going to make a full size one I’d say you’ll probably need 3 yards or so since this stuff is super stretchy

I have a question about what type of screws you used to screw the frame together (where you said you used gorilla glue then drilled a hole and put a screw in there). Covid is going to make this project harder because I’m ordering my material and doing a curbside pick up

Where do u staple fabric too? The outside of the frame facing audience, or inside of frame facing you?

Inside of the frame

Thx for the reply. But wouldn’t that look weird to the audience, having the fabric on inside of frame? Are u sure it’s not outside?
@DJLoStax

You don’t wrap the fabric around the frame. You staple it to the back of the frame.

How are you keeping people from knocking it over? People (drunk people) want to lean on it. Otherwise, it's perfect. It somehow needs weight or clamped down.

oh man! my old facade was homemade also but out of heavy 1x4 wood and it was in two section with 2 panels per section that i had to connect together before standing it up. it wasnt impossible but it was delicate at the same time. I have a rockville facade now and i love it

Thank you sooo much. I’m currently in the process of building my facade now. Just started cutting. Got all my 18” pieces cut. On the the 36”s I ended up buying 1x2s instead.

Hey man! Is your table a 5feet? 6feet? Or 4feet table? Thanks.
@DJLoStax
@DJLoStax 5 жыл бұрын
I actually have a 5 and a 6. I would say I use the 5ft most often though and I would recommend highly that you pick up a wood banquet table instead of the folding plastic ones. I picked one up last year and it was such an upgrade. No more shaky plastic table. Actually I think I might have to do a video on why I switched!
