I picked everything up. I'm just making one adjustment. I'm setting it up to be either a four foot or 6 foot facade. I'll put up a video when I'm done.

I’m interested in the six foot set up. I want to make a screen for a standard 6’ table with a 4’ high screen to give me a large open top box to place props into for my show. The client provides the table (or I have one) and I bring the screen and props.

Yes I sprayed both the PVC and the iron pipe with Rustoleum Plastic Textured paint that I had on the shelf. The texture gives the pipes a little grip for the back crushed velvet material as well as helping to assemble and take apart.

Ya know... this is the best idea. I've thought of building my own nearly a year ago and purchased one. Guess what... it's broken. I watched your video and built my own. Placed lighting bars behind the fabric and the party begun.. Thanks a million for the idea on pvc piping. Peace. DJ Knock (Washington, D.C.)

Correct, I needed the facade in 3 days. My favorite DJ stores, could not guarantee it would arrive by the gig. That lead me to think how I could get one in 3 days, which lead me to wonder how to build one.
@TehillahMusic12 жыл бұрын
As I mentioned before, the issue I had by using all PVC, was that it wasn't as stable as using the iron pipe in the corners. However if that works better for you and your willing to share your build video thats fantastic!
@MaShandToSh12 жыл бұрын
Great design. However, I would cut the two center pipes down the center, attach a t joint to the bottom and top and insert an iron pipe down the center (connecting to the two t joints. This though slightly more in cost would prove to be a very durable and strong stand no matter where the individual leans.

Just tried it, amazing if you put 2 color splash Jrs behind it. But don't turn on the lights till you lights go down and the party really begins.

I would have to say that is a pretty nifty o some idea compared to some of the prices for for stands and tables. i paid 200 for my odyssey fold out table and didn't even get to use it yet and it warped on me already only had it for about two months now...
@1775sw13 жыл бұрын
@officialDJFresh he said a 4 ft table that was 20 inches im guessing he means 4 ft long from side to side by 20 inches from front to back. To adjust the measurements of this you would just have to change the measurements of the pipes to fit your needs.
@TehillahMusic12 жыл бұрын
I use a 4 ft wide, by 20 inch deep folding table that has legs that extends the surface up to 4ft... I'm rather tall.
@TehillahMusic16 жыл бұрын
Yep, I thought about that as well... however I never use a 2m table. So I just kept it at 1.3m wide.

If he didn’t use a sewing machine, it’s stick on Velcro. The strong rolls have a 30 lbs hold. Use that to really make sure you don’t have to replace it.

@iceman977th 1/2" PVC is not sturdy enough for the rigors of the gig when folks lean over it to make requests, and the cloth I used doesn't show wrinkles. However if it works for you thats awesome.

Personally I've never saw the need for anything like that. Anything that can fall and hit a client or there guests is a law suit waiting to happen. I book a gig, they supply a table. I put my coffin on it, 2 Wireless Mackie 450's out and I'm done.
