Isn't the foam an insulator? As well as making it float?

OutcasT The foam doesn't surround the tub itself, it just acts as a float on either side. The heat will escape to the cooler water on the outside of the tub which will cool the hot tub's water and warm the lake. Which will kinda be the complete opposite of what is wanted..

I think they need to be a little careful with putting a bunch of foam around the tub itself. Being boyent i does have the risk of capsizing the hot tub.

HOT TIP! to keep the temp up longer add bubble bath to the water. get a nice layer of bubbles to insulate the heat loss on the surface.

There is actually a 12 volt water heater so if you put a solar panel of atleast 100 watts you could warm up the tub even when you are already out in the waters.

+corexisguhmazin Build a drum from thick sheet of stainless steel, cap ends, build box inside to hold fire that comes out from the front, you can weld thin sheets of steel on the surface to spread heat more efficiently into water, add pipe, with more fins from the box to up so smoke can get out and heat water even more and finally put two small pipes bottom and upper areas of the water area and pipes that lead in the container your trying to heat. Fill the system with water, dump pipes into water and make fire into box. Heated water goes up while cold water sinks down. This causes water to be pumped. Also its best that heater is lower or equal hight of the tub to this pumping effect to work. Also its important that there is no air in the heater but only water, cause that can cause water to boil and it can in worts case explode if heated too much. Hope this helps
