Thank You so much! 12years and it's the best video explanation about those angles.

Thank you very much for posting this. I recently bought the Revell re-release of the old Aurora "Dracula" kit. I already have one built box-stock. Now I want to make a scene of Dracula coming out of his coffin. Your posting will be invaluable to me, and I have favorited it. Thanks again.

So...I took a screenshot of the video at 1:24, traced out the coffin shape in photoshop and enlarged the image until the top measurement was 4 1/8". That gave me the rest of the measurements. These are "inside" measurements with the direction of all the angles leading out from here. The outside measurements will depend on the thickness of the wood you're using. Top: 4 1/8" Bottom: 2 1/2" Top left and right sides: 4 1/2" Bottom left and right sides: 11 3/4" The overall inside dimensions are 7" x 15 3/4" The "bend" is 4 1/4" from the top or 11 1/2" from the bottom The angles are as shown in the video. I haven't built one yet but after I do, if any of these measurements change I'll be sure to update them. Thanks so much Shay for this awesome video!

I like the lid a lot, I make coffins and it is always good to see other ideals. The dracula cross is also nice, it really makes the lid when crosses are used.

im thinking of doing a coffin bed too, I would add an inch or two to your height so you're not crammed in there, and and extra 5 inches accross. so it would be your heigh(+2in) by measurement of your shoulders(+5in) and then taper it as it gets closer to your feet .... Im no expert but thats what i would do

what is the measurements for the sides at each angle. I got your angles down but what are the measurements. Does your angles work on bigger coffins or do you have to change the angle.

@GothicAngeliniaj You mean like "how to do stuff" or just simply gothic in all forms? I think there's plenty of gothic style videos in tube.. you just have to look for 'em..
