I’m about to build mine, and will probably put a thin coat of silicone spray or armor all on the outside face of the panels so that dirt and snow can’t stick easily

Good for you! Providing you get ahead of the pitfalls, it's a fun little greenhouse. That spray sounds like an interesting idea, especially for snow. I might test a spot before applying all over to make sure it doesn't cloud the panels etc.

Love your information. I’m planning on building one this fall. An interesting idea would be to put in an energy efficient heater with a thermostat to keep the interior just warm enough the ice/snow self-sheds off the roof.

I would like to clarify, you did get the warranty? We are looking to put one of these up in the next couple of months. Your is beautiful. I got the smaller one, but now I'm wondering should I get the bigger one. Thank you for the videos

Wonderful job! Modifications are a must! I really love your frame, especially how it supports the roof.

Thanks so much! It held up to several snowloads, but that ice was just too much. We've had snow and ice since adding the framing without issue. I completely agree with you. Modifications are a must!

I'm sorry you had such a terrible experience with the snow collapsing the roof of your greenhouse. I am also getting ready to build a 10x12 Harbor Freight too and I can't thank you enough for the information that you have provided to us through your videos (I did subscribe however). I am a retired Civil Engineer and I will address the snow loading in a little different manner. The reason your roof collapsed was because the designers of the greenhouse did not tie the tops of the 12 foot long walls together. The weight of the snow forced the tops of the 12 foot long walls to spread, allowing the roof to collapse. You will notice the 10 foot long walls resisted the roof collapse because the roof and the top of the wall created triangles at both gable ends. My solution will be to install cables between the tops of the 12 foot long walls to resist the spreading of the tops of those long walls. Again, I am sorry for your experience. However, I am very thankful you taking the time to show us what can happen with the snow and ice loading, without some modifications to the design.

Thank you for your kind words, and for your expert eyes on the project, Dave. I am thrilled you found value in the videos. Many of the creators on youtube, myself included, aim to provide value through their experiences - good and bad. What a great system! It' a sweet little greenhouse providing you manage the inevitable pitfalls, which you've keenly observed. I wish you much joy in building and planting. Plants are life! I hope you'll update on your progress.
