How-To Build a Modular Subway Board | Hobby Tutorial

In this video, I wanted to document my process of planning and building my modular subway board for Marvel Crisis Protocol. Everything you see is a combination of scratch-built elements made with MDF boards, as well as 3D printing a lot of the scatter terrain and bits.

Alas I do not play Infinity, although with Shatterpoint coming in the summer, I'm definitely going to be building some sci-fi (and maybe a desert or forest board?) themed terrain for that!

I appreciate that! I wouldn't object to stores commissioning me for gaming tables; I love working on terrain, I would just never have anywhere to store them and/or would almost never use them except at a gaming store.

Fantastic board! Wish I lived anywhere near to get a game in on it. It's an inspiration to see it all come together and the thought you need to put in to get to a high standard of finish, with a lot of projects it's easy to, want to just jump straight to the end but this is a reminder you need to put the time in. Hope your very happy with it all

What type of Material did you use for the board? I cannot find it in the video. I love this

Hi, I apologize maybe I missed it! I picked up 1/4" and 1/2" MDF or particle board from Home Depot (1/4" for the tops and bottoms, 1/2" for the supports)

Thanks! So all-in materials cost for the boards was probably about $100. Another $150 in printing costs, and call it $100 in printing costs? I had to reprint some things several times because of issues with cracking so that shot up the printing costs a bit.

Is there a Chance to buy the Subway? Or is this the Same as the Black Site Studio plate?

The Subway train itself is an STL from Corvus Games Terrain. But the board itself is more or less one of a kind. I did use the Black Site Studio's Arklight Metro as inspiration, but that's about it.
