I have 2013 S7 I’m looking for help regarding a valve cover leak. Having trouble finding info online on how to remove the passenger side cam cover/valve cover. Do you know if it’s an engine out process or can it be left in and if so do you have a reference point to follow. I haven’t been able to find anything online to help with this repair.

2018 S7..... Already completed an APR stage 3 turbo upgrade with DSG tune. Unfortunately I made the rookie mistake and bought Chinese turbos ( So they failed after 17k. So I have to do this swap all over again. After researching many of the better turbo brands i come to find many of them are also "made in china" and assembled in U.S or Canada. Do you know where the HPA turbos are made? And how are they holding up now? Great channel and videos are well done.......to the point ,,,,no wasted time for viewers! Keep up the great work.

What's up! I'm glad the video was helpful. It's been a few years since I've had the S6, but I didn't have any issues with the HPA turbos. I think they had some early version of them at one point that were Chinese, but I remember asking them before I purchased them if they had improved, and they confirmed they were better than earlier prototypes. I can't remember if they were made/assembled/balanced in their Canadian facility. Given the price, I would still assume there could be some sourcing from overseas as with many large auto part distributors. Personally at this time I would not get them again because they shipped in separate pieces so they had to be re clocked and sealed prior to install. Would have rather just had drop in ready turbos.

No hate on APR but why didn’t you go DS1 or IE tune? Awesome progress. Do you plan to get the srm intakes down the road?
@savagepandaprojects3 жыл бұрын
A few reasons, DS1 doesn't have Transmission tunes, IE only has stage 1 currently. Probably hold off on doing intakes for now.

@@savagepandaprojects understandable, but if you ever get around to it SRM makes a good dsg tune for the ds1 platform👍🏼

Would Bigger turbo inlets and upgraded hpfp and srm fuel lines have any effect on the stage 3? Would it make it run worse?

YES, I have a S6, if you want to smoke Hellcats. The trick is more and cooler fuel and air in and fast exhaust exit out. What tune are you using?

@bbigrocker1 I'm on apr stage 2 now....apr intercooler, roc euro intake with ecs turbo inlets, I recently purchased cts turbo cooler Brick and srm fuel lines.... I was looking at 034 hpfp upgrade but I won't be going e85...I work out of state and car sits alot so I'll prob just stick to pump and race fuel. I was hoping the fuel lines would add benefit to just have moving more consistently fuel flow when needed.

@savagepandaprojects2 жыл бұрын
Honestly man, I would either allow the turbos to be replaced under the extended warranty or just simply delete the oil screen and go stage 3 with RS7 turbos. On a 2014 the oem turbos likely have significant wear by now. Up to you! Thanks for watching

Thanks for watching I would start with trying to get the turbos and PCV repaired under factory audi warranty first. If for some reason that doesn't work out you want to address the oil screen, PCV and replace turbos. Really up to you if you intent to stay with stock performance levels or if you want to actually make more power with aftermarket upgrades.
