Are you on unofficial with collision off or something? You can't put ceiling under pillar like that

No I am on single player with no settings changed. I don't play official network, try using a foundation to get the snap you want, or just place a ceiling on top and build down from the side.

@@antoniopepperonio 100% your collision is disabled man. You can't overlap pieces, whether it's the pillar/ceiling or the roof pieces underneath and the front and rear. Check your collision settings to verify

I can only place the first ceiling around the pillar and not underneath, how do you solve that?

you could try placing it on top, then building a wall down and continue from there. this build was made in SP and official has different settings than SP so some parts of it will need to be adapted to work on official servers.
