I grew up doing Harley engines at my Dads shop, Lindskog Balancing just west of Boston. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy seeing Dale assemble that lower end. It’s been over 40 years since I’ve honed rod races for oversized rollers and trued the flywheels. Looking forward to seeing the Wheels Through Time Museum. Matt you’re a very lucky guy ! 😊

What a artist. That level of assembly would take many years of constant work to be able to learn.

All I can say is WOW! Your Dad was an amazing guy! I love to watch how he makes everything seem so easy, so simple. I remember the first time my Brother invited me to build a motor with him. I was both excited and nervous but him being the Master Mechanic he is at that time, well I was in Awe. Even though he was a Master at his profession he was even better at electrical harnesses and how air, fuel and spark worked to make it finally run. Too bad he had his back messed up by three different so called surgeons until the fourth was the one he needed the first surgery and had to have his back fused together causing him to retire. Now he's just a fussy old cuss, lol, missing his younger years. Still, just ask him and that memory kicks in and he'll tell you how to do it with some off his fanfare mixed in.

Just wondering...no mention of either the final torque loading on the crankpin nuts or the minimum runout tolerances (of the sprocket & pinion shafts) when truing the flywheels or of the balance factor used on a WR engine? This would have been useful information.
